Bear Rock Lakes Wildlife Management Area Valley Grove, WV 26060

"We were walking a trail all alone in the woods. All of the sudden we heard a loud scream for help. We were discussing wether or not to go and look if there was anybody when me and my brother heard something. We looked behind us and saw a dark shadow disappear into a bush. We were fully spooked and so we turned around. While walking back to the car I looked across the lake and saw the same dark shadow looking at us but then imedetly disappeared into the woods. After that we ran back to the car. We called others we knew to see about what might have happed. One of them who had been there before had had a strange spooky feeling when being there, like in the presence of a monster. As rumors have it it’s skinwalker, and really if you think about all peaces seem to fit together perfectly. Bear rock lake IS haunted. Others said to call 911 but thought it was a better idea not to. It has a weird Erie feeling being there so I highly suggest not ever going there . So bear rock lake IS haunted and I never suggest going there."

"The lakes off the beaten path are picturesque. You must walk a bit through the woods to get to them but very worth it. There are also huge boulders in the woods that are quite interesting to see."

"Beautiful lakes. And I love that they have a separate lake stocked only for the handicapped and children. The Only way I would change it would be to add a playground for the little ones and i would fix the bathrooms(they're pretty gross). Other than that, it is an amazing place to take your family. I love the fact that I used to come here when I was little, and now I get to bring my kids, and hopefully (20 years from now) they'll bring their kids and make some beautiful memories."

"Very nice place to fish. Alot of open spots, and very nice walking trails along the second lake. Good place for young and old. Highly recommend for the family.."
