"I have been in PA for 11 years and finally got to go to Erie for the first time! Much better than I expected! The water is very clean, the sand is darker in the water and makes it seems like the water isn't clear/clean, until you get closer. Everyone really helps keeping the beach clean, no trash left behind, maybe a few by the road here and there. Will definitely go there more often!"
"Very beautiful, pavilion has full kitchen and only steps from the beach w great parking and beach views including sunset!"
"Beach one had to be my favorite Beach on Presque Isle, it was the quickest to get to and was not crowded at all in September. There were multiple picnic benches so I was easily able to find one to read that. The wave breaks and the mini boardwalk area meant there were tons of great rocks and quartz to be found. I saw a bald eagle, deer and grasshoppers all during my time there! Restrooms were close by, super clean and accessible."
"Presque Isle State Park is a destination experience! We have traveled Lake Erie east to west . . . New York to Michigan . . . We live on Lake Erie in Ashtabula, OH . . . and still make the trip to Erie, PA . . . I've enjoyed Presque Isle State Park for over 60 years and have experienced the many changes Mother Nature has thrown at the shores . . . Yet . . . it still proves to be the best and biggest sand beach on the southern side of Lake Erie!! Enjoy!"
"Love this place any day of the year. Be sure to walk the beach to see what lakes has pushed ashore. So many flat rocks with great shapes"
