"From the beginning, everyone was friendly and helpful. My dad is in a wheelchair and the place isn't a huge place but the staff and other customers were so polite when we needed to pass through. Our food was amazing....the shrimp and grits, WOW!!!! Brooke was our waitress and she was amazing!! She had quite a few tables where we were sitting and attended to everyone is a polite, fast and courteous manner. Definitely will come back! I'm from out of town and visiting my dad so to be able to take him to this place 5 minutes from him and have great service was awesome!"

"Wow! Since we're new in town, we went to Doozy's based on recommendations from our neighbors, and we were delighted. First of all, I love diner food, so diners are usually a hit with me anyway. What we didn't expect was the New Mexican twist to many of the entrées (we're big fans of New Mexican food, so a big win there) and the adventurous departure from standard diner fare. I ordered the Cristo, which is a liberally modified version of a Monte Cristo sandwich, leaning toward being a croque monsieur. I did not expect its level of sweetness, which was delightful, but had I known, I would have gotten the smash browns as my side instead of the grits (excellent, but a more savory side would have paired better). My wife ordered the shrimp 'n' grits and nearly died because the dish was so good. We'll be going back again and again. There are so many great things on the menu."

"I decided to walk down the street to get tea or coffee. As I was getting closer to the corner I picked up the scent of something good cooking. It was Doozy’s Diner giving off that good scent. I popped in and ordered the Crab Omelette with Home Fries and Orange Juice. The food was worth the stop. I will visit again to try other menu items."

"The food was decent but on the very high side for price. The burger and sandwich that we got was $13 each, and they charge $3 extra per plate for fries. The burger was 1/4 or 1/3 pound. The fish sandwich was good but on the small side for a $16 plate. The waitress asked us if we wanted fries with our sandwiches. I never thought to ask if fries were an extra charge at that price point. I don't mind paying $16 for a plate but the more you charge, the higher I set my expectations. The patio was lovely and the staff was friendly. The breakfasts actually looked really good. I might give them a second try."

"Went on a Saturday morning soon after opening. It was busy, but we were seated right away. The waitress was wonderful and made sure to refill our drinks on time. It filled up soon, and I saw people waiting. It's actually bigger on the inside than it looks. There's a backroom and outside seating. All the food was delicious, they have an awesome kitchen staff. Don't forget the milkshakes! We asked for a little chocolate syrup, which is not standard. It was just the right size. My biggest compliment was how clean everything looked. That will make or break my decision to visit again. I will be back! Gender neutral bathrooms with ample space when you're with children. Free street and parking lot parking are available, but it fills up. More street parking on Frederick Road. It's hard to see from Frederick Road, I suggest using GPS the first time."
