"I came here because it’s been recommended by a friend who is a regular, but I was disappointed with the service by my nail tech, Hannah, and will not be returning. I’m giving this place two stars because of the location itself and my pedicure was fine. The place is clean, larger than the nail salons I usually go to in the Old Town area, and well-staffed so there was no wait. For my pedicure, Hannah took her time, painted my toes nicely, and gave me a long massage. The manicure started out much like the pedicure. I asked for two coats of OPI’s Bubble Bath and one coat of a shiny, glittery polish, and twice I asked her for THIN coats. She started the first coat thinly, but then the other two coats and the top coat are all rather thick. I was going to let it go, but when I checked the nails, I noticed there were a couple of small black hairs that looked like it had come out of the nail polish brush. I asked Hannah nicely to remove them, and she got visibly upset in an unprofessional way: huffing and puffing, “fixing” them begrudgingly, and when the polish moved, she blamed me for them when I did not even touch my nails. After she finished, she was extremely rude to me, from telling me not to touch my stuff up until we got to the fan station, where she directed me to sit down as if I was a misbehaving child. Unprofessionalism and the small brush hairs aside, the manicure was not even worth the price I paid since it was uneven, there was polish residue on my fingers, and — you guessed it — a small brush hair residue still on there. I wanted to ask for another nail tech but everyone there was so rude — the owner or manager was disputing the customer sitting in front of me for her pedicure — that I just decided to leave and I was so unhappy that I took off the nail polish when I got home. I still paid and tipped for the service, but I will never come back here again."
