Relâche Spa & Salon at Gaylord National Harbor

"At the end of the year, I schedule a spa treatment to decompress and kick off the New Year relaxed. This was a disappointing experience from the moment of booking until the day of the service. There was a mix up of the dates for my service. We were able to rectify this and schedule for the last day of my stay at the hotel. I brought my mom along for the experience. We have been to a lot of spas but this one was real disappointing. The amenities were limited and customer service was poor. My massage was very good but my mom's experience was lackluster. Her masseuse put cold lotion on her and failed to give her the full experience. Normally, when I leave the spa I am always asked how was the service. NOT HERE. I was asked are you checking out, I proceeded to give my name and was informed of payment. HOW RUDE!!! I refused to give the full gratuity since my mother's service was disappointing. I think personnel needs to learn customer service and some credentials may need to be confirmed."

"My friend and I enjoyed our time at Relache Spa. Im from out of town and wanted to decompress. The service was exceptional. Lea was beyond hospitable and incredibly attentive to our needs. The entire staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great experience. my friend and I observed how collaborative the staff is. It’s like an harmonious atmosphere where everyone is diligent in making sure that every area is well stocked and fully functional to enhance each guest experience. I plan to return when I visit Maryland again."

"I was gifted a massage for my anniversary from my husband. I absolutely enjoyed my experience. Everyone I came across was polite. I do feel the spa could use a few upgrades, but the facility is nice and spacious. I do feel the spa could use some signs to guide you. Once my services were complete, I was escorted to the relaxation lounge! (Absolutely peaceful and refreshing view) That was the last time that I actually had interaction with the staff.(other than checking out at the front desk) Without any guidance or someone checking back in, I had to find my way back to the locker room and steam room on my own. There were no signs…all the halls look the same. While this did not ruin my experience it was something I felt could be more helpful. I would definitely return for another spa day if I’m in the area."

"The spa services are great but the spa amenities and luxuries are lacking. Also seems like it's time for a decor update. The locker room had an odor, think the carpet needs to be replaced. Overall pleasant experience but missing the little touches and attention to detail that you would expect for the price and at a luxury spa."
