"1/13/24: Here is the double icing on the cake to update my review below - I checked my CC and they have charged me TWICE for this medication. Now I have to be bothered with calling to try and clear this up. DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY. This review will be long, but please read. When my mom used Stokes 7 yrs ago, and for 4 yrs, they operated like a well oiled machine. Meds were ordered and always at my door within 2 days. Forward to 12/20/23. I call them to see if they have a particular med that my dog needs for his pulmonary fibrosis. I was getting it at a local pharmacy but they stopped carrying it and no pharmacy within 20 miles of me carried it. I spoke with a pharmacist at Stokes and she confirmed that they had it in stock and that I’d need to send in the hard copy of the prescription and once received I would get a call to set up an account and pay for it and it would take about a day to get it out for shipping. I mailed the prescription the same day. A week later on 12/29 I see a missed call from Stokes. No message left. I call back assuming they were calling to set up an account. When I called back, there was no record that anyone had called me and no one could find the prescription. I was on hold on and off for over 40 min while numerous people tried to track it down. Finally, they found it and said a pharmacist wants to speak with me. She came on the line and said they do not have the med in stock, that it would take about 2 weeks for it to come in (this, after I was told it was in stock). I asked if I could set up an account now (on 12/29) rather than waiting for it to come in, that way my credit card could just be charged and the meds on their way. My pup needs them to be comfortable and to control a very bad cough. Keep in mind that at this point, he had been without these meds for 2 weeks. The pharmacist puts me through to another person and that person sets up an account for me and takes my CC #. On Wednesday, 1/03/24, I get a call from the same pharmacist telling me the med came in and she needs to set up an account. (??). I told her I already did that and she insists there is no account for me but then, after a few minutes, miraculously she finds said account. She assures me the med will be shipped the next day (Thurs) and I should have it Friday, Monday at the latest. Well, Friday and Monday come and go and now it’s Tuesday. No meds. I call and speak with a man named Stephen (Steven?). He looks it up and says the meds were never shipped!!!!. I frustratingly tell him everything I have just written here in this review and he puts me on hold to see if they have a courier who can deliver it because my dog is doing very badly, now 3.5 full weeks without his meds. They do not. He offers that I can come pick up the med but they are over 1.5 hours away from me and I could not make that work with my job. So he tells me he will personally overnight it via UPS but is very clear to not take blame if UPS does not get it there overnight. I offer to pay for FedEx overnight but they are not contracted with FedEx so he would not do it. So here I am writing this on Wednesday 1/10/24 at 1:30 pm, still waiting for these meds that my dog desperately needs to be comfortable. I called Stoke to verify that it was overnighted as promised and they confirmed that yes it was, and I should have it by 7:00 today. Previously, before this inadequacy by Stokes, I did call my vet for a different med and was told there are no substitutions that do the same thing. I am praying these meds get here today. But here’s the icing on the cake: when I was able to get the prescription through a “people pharmacy” it cost me $90 for 30 pills. Stokes has charged my CC $170 for the same 30 pills!!!! That is just short of DOUBLE the cost. I have never experienced such gross inefficiency and bumbling. No one seems to know what’s going on plus they robbed me blind for the “privilege”. DO NOT USE STOKES. Find somewhere else."
"I had a prescription phoned in to this pharmacy for my cat. Someone from the pharmacy called me I think her name was Erica got my credit card information processed everything and then called me back a few minutes later telling me my credit card was declined. Makes sense I just had a $4,000 emergency veterinary clinic charge on it so there was a fraud alert. I had my dying cat in one hand, her medicine and stuff in the other, it was cold and windy, and the phone on my shoulder and I politely asked the lady on the other end to call me back in two or three minutes so that I could give her the right credit card information. After a heavy sigh she curtly told me that I could call her back and hung up on me. I'm not going to argue with somebody to take my money so I will never use this pharmacy and I don't recommend you do either. One woman refusing to give me time to get my cat back in the house out of the wind cost your company $600 this year."
"Excellent service. My dog won’t accept eye drops so Stokes Pharmacy prepares the medication as an ointment. This is working well for my large dog. Reordering every 4 weeks or so is quick and easy, I often receive my order next day with a very reasonable shipping fee. Very impressed."
