"Just popped in on a whim after seeing so much traffic in and out. I ordered the catfish nuggets and shrimp, and double collard greens for the side. The nuggets were huge, crispy and seasoned to perfection, so were the shrimp. The greens were good with a nice texture. The cashier told me I would be back and she is right. The best soul food I have purchased from a quick order restaurant in. A long time!"

"This is my 2nd time here. The first time didn’t impress me but it was during Covid and it was packed, so I decided to give it another try. I really wanted to like this place. I ordered the Jumbo Lump Crab cake with Blackened Shrimp, collards and Mac for $33. The crab cake was ok it was flavorful, a nice size and had jumbo lump meat. The blackened shrimp didn’t taste blackened more like grilled or pan seared with a little seafood seasoning on it. The greens taste like somebody dropped an open bottle of pepper in them with some liquid smoke and sugar. I couldn’t eat them. The Mac and cheese tasted as if the cheese wasn’t all the way melted through, it was really thick; I didn’t eat that either. I waited about 30mins which is not bad to me. The young lady and young man were nice and friendly. Looks wayyyy better than it tasted. I was highly disappointed to say the least."

"As a hospitality professional, this gem is perfect. The service is a 10/10, the lady working the counter on 11/9/2023 knew all customers by name and after seeing my name come up in the system continued to refer to me by last name. The food is a 4.5/5 the collard greens needs more seasoning other than that the food is great and the proportions are reasonable in relation to the price. The wait time is decent. I wish they were open on a Sunday—. This is definitely the better soul/southern restaurant than the others in the area."
