Reviews of Jenny's Hair Salon
"This hair salon is a bad place. I strongly advise against visiting this salon due to the unprofessional workers. They lack experience in handling hair care and do not provide satisfactory services. During my visit, my hair was not properly washed or cut, and the service abruptly stopped. Despite the poor quality of service, they still charged me $85. I strongly recommend avoiding this salon as the workers are unreliable, inexperienced, and cannot be trusted with your hair.""
"Worst place ever, my daughter had her hair tangled and they being a hair salon made me and my daughter comb it saying that they dont untangle hair, HELLO YOU ARE A HAIR SALON….I just walked out of there….the people there are so LAZY. Should hire new people, people that actually want to work and know how to work…. DISGUSTING PLACE… ABSOLUTELY 0000 ZERO stars…. UNPROFESSIONAL IN ALL WAYS UPDATE TO RESPONSE They new exactly, they asked if I wanted a wash, I said yes, her hair was already washed, NO EXCUSE, I ended up taking her somewhere else…where there was no issue. I Stand by my review. SMH unacceptable. Worst experience of my life."
"I recently went to Jenny's because I have not gotten my face waxed in a YEAR. The shop was very nice and open and clean. German (sp? I think this is right, I'm hard of hearing), took very good care of me. He made sure I was comfortable, and took care with my skin. He trimmed my eyebrows too! He made sure I was good with moving forward each step, and soothed my skin afterwards. I also got a wash and trim from him, and the wash water was the perfect temperature. The trim is honestly a little lopsided, but he didn't fight me on the length I wanted to get cut off, so I'm happy about that. I will definitely be back for waxing and will give the hair another try soon too."
"I wouldn’t come back to this location. It is very unprofessional. I had scheduled a 10am appointment with Jenny for my two kids to cut their hair. When I got there I was told Jenny wasn’t there and she had an emergency. I understand things come up, but I never received a call from the salon. In fact, I came to find out later this isn’t the first time this happened. My sister went through the same thing."
"Unfortunately, my experience in this case was so bad that I want to save anyone from getting a haircut or keratin here. The staff is very nice, but unprofessional. I went in for a keratin and a haircut and all I wanted was a brazilian keratin treatment and to fix my previous haircut and maybe add some layers without compromising the length too much. First of all, I had trouble communicating with them because they don't speak English. I called them to ask if they do a brazilian keratin. They didn't know anything about keratin and had to call their manager over the phone to get details (I had already bought a groupon otherwise I wouldn't have even gone there after I talked to them the first time). I didn't want to do one of those really harsh treatments where you have to wait 3days to wash off the chemicals. The lady over the phone convinced me that it was not that one, so I went in. I first got a haircut and told the lady that all I really wanted was to fix the previous haircut and if possible add some layers. In the picture you can see how it all went. She kept trying to ask if the haircut was ok in the back. I mean, how can you tell on wet hair if it's ok or not. Anyway, after the hair was dry, I had two people "correcting" my hair, cutting from everywhere. I was afraid to look at it. In the end it was so bad that I didn't want them touching my hair anymore when they kept asking if the cut was ok. Anyway, the keratin was so strong that I got allergic reaction to it and I usually get brazilian blowout at least twice or 3times a year. I don't think you're supposed to put such harsh keratin in and ask the client to sit under one of those awful heating vacuums. It got so bad my eyes starting tearing up and then finally a nice lady came to ask if I was ok. Then she took me back to the saloon chair. Long story short, she put in the keratin that was extremely strong and when I asked, she didn't even know its name or aftercare instructions. Once she flat ironed it, she said we had to wash the hair and blow dry is the second time. I had been sitting there for 3.5hours so I really didn't want to spend any more time. So I asked if it's ok that I do it myself the next day (like I usually do with other keratin I get). She called her manager of course to ask and all they told me was they're not responsible for what happens if we leave the keratin in. I mean, I had left the brazilian keratin in before so I thought maybe it's something similar. When I got home I did some research and I still don't know what she put in my hair but I assumed it was one of those "same-day wash" treatment and if that's the case she should have warned me to wash it the SAME DAY! Lastly, they told me I needed a special shampoo and the one I had from CVS would wash out the treatment, so they had me buy their shampoo as well (did give me a little bit of discount on the shampoo). Overall, nice people, but I am convinced they have never done a haircut or a keratin treatmet in their life before."
