SILVER SPRING WINGS

"What a wonderful hole in the wall in all the right ways. We've been wanting to try this place for a while at the suggestion of a friend. My wife can't have dairy right now and I went over in person to see what wing sauces didn't have butter, cheese, etc. The new staff member wasn't sure, but they called the owner right away and were very accommodating and helpful. With the kind and thoughtful service, now we were only hoping that the wings would be as good and they didn't disappoint. Of course, if you only make a couple of items, you need to do them well and Silver Spring wings know how to make them. My favorite were the San Antonio wings, but the potato wedges were also pretty awesome. We plan to be back soon for this excellent take-out option."

"I’ve been here a few times now and have had the buffalo old bay, San Antonio, hot jet lag, and Parmesan peppercorn wings. Each time, the wings have been made to order (so it will take 10-15 min) and have come out saucy yet still crisp and juicy. I’ve seen some comments about the management not being a highlight but that has NOT been my experience. Each time I’ve been I’ve been greeted and spoken to with nothing but respect. The service has been nothing short of acceptable especially considering how short staffed most restaurants are these days. I’ve since recommended Silver Spring Wings to several friends and co-workers each of whom have come back and raved about how good the wings are. These certainly rank high on my “Best Wings of the DMV” and I will absolutely be going back again and again."

"Got these wings a couple weeks ago right after they opened. We had been looking for a good wing place in the area and were so happy to find them! The wings themselves were perfect. Crispy on the outside and tender in the inside. We ended up ordering them plain and got a bunch of side orders of sauces so we could try multiple combinations. The Thai chili was my favorite but all were great. Service was excellent and had a great chat with the owner who talked about how they had to switch from catering events to take out in the setting of the pandemic."
