"I had dinner at Hollywood East at least once a week before Covid hit and I moved far out into Virginia. Last night I finally revisited what I always felt was the best Chinese restaurant in the Capitol region and found the food and gracious service just as absolutely outstanding as ever (the waiter even remembered my favorite dishes). I hope I can return more frequently and that Hollywood East will continue to recover from the pandemic years that so many restaurants did not survive. I was terribly saddened to hear that one of the restaurant's owners was lost to Covid. He was always a smiling bright light. The rest of the family is bravely carrying on with the same excellence I found there for so many years."

"we showed up on a saturday afternoon and the entree took over 40 minutes, way after the rest of the food got here. the food was fine overall, but we didn’t appreciate the teen waiters tossing our shumai onto the table from afar. extremely disappointed on the service, they must be retrained properly. probably not coming back here again"

"The food was really good, better than most dim sum I've had in the DC area. The great service was the highlight as they were very friendly, food came out right away, and they were helpful with any questions. There's also the option to order fully off your phone and pay the bill online too, which worked pretty well."
