"Have to say I was impressed with the service and the food. I ordered the 3 PC fried pork chop with greens and yams. Everything tasted good even the cornbread."

"My father loves this place. He says they really know how to cook their collard greens. The potato salad is amazing. Whenever I go to pick up his food, the people in line always ask for extra gravy; they say it's out of this world! The iced tea is perfect everytime."

"I enjoy there catfish nuggets and lima beans as usual. I added lemon pepper wings and banana pudding. Catfish nuggets were crispy and seasoned perfectly. I would've like more wafers in the banana pudding but still tasty."

"The pictured image was $9.49 I tried 7 items: Fried chicken was alright. Grilled talapia was very good. Fried tilapia was really bad. The fried clam strips were literally awful I wanted to throw up. For sides, the fries were clearly store bought; frozen. The collard greens were okay, and the Mac and cheese was hit or miss. Overall the food here is okay if you don't really have any other options... But there is a pizza hut right next door which is definitely better and a gas station across the street which is also better. The owners and employees are Asian, there is only a small window to speak through and get your food. The atmosphere is very poor. There was hardly anywhere to sit and it was very barren inside. I don't like writing negative reviews because I want restaurants to succeed but I feel like the only reason people eat here is because they have no other choice if you know what I mean. Even then for like $5 more than the pictured image you can get something far far better at famous daves."

"The only think good was the fish. I got the candied yams and greens . How is it candied yams with NOTHING TO MAKE IT CANDIED???? Tasted like it was fresh out the can. Greens was bland who is making this food?? Soul Boat? They lying bc it ain’t no soul in this food. Save your money. This not like Carolina kitchen. This is not real soul food. Had to doctor up the yams and greens and basically remake them. Yuck. I didn’t include the yams in the photos bc they are in the air fryer getting recooked."
