"My first time here was interesting. Parking is on the back side, but the restaurant faces the front. Their chicken is unmatched. Tasted good the first and second day I ate it. The service was quick and to the point. I felt a bit rushed when making my decision. The place to eat didn't seem like much was put into it, just a few tables and chairs to eat in if you would like. I got the half chicken with red beans and rice with a side of plantain. I love the season of the chicken and the redheads and rice filled me up really good. Overall, I liked this establishment. I would return."

"I placed an order over the phone, presented my address. it was confirmed for delivery range to take my credit card information. Seven minutes later, get a callback requesting additional delivery fee for .2 over 4 mile range. I declined to pay the fee because that should’ve been presented after you looked up my address, right? $10! For .2 miles. They did apologize for the mistake. Very professional."

"I'm a big fan of El Pollo. I ordered takeout and delivery all the time. El Pollo Rico make some of the best chicken in the DMV area. The chicken is delicious, especially if you can get it hot (warm), right off the grill, it taste amazing. Their chicken is perfectly seasoned, it doesn't have that feathery/ poultry smell that grilled chicken sometimes have when they haven't been properly cleaned or seasoned. You can definitely know this when you have some leftover chicken. Even after two days in the fridge El Pollo Rico chicken is still tasty and doesn't have any order. The rice and red beans are excellent. The only side that I found unsatisfactory was their coleslaw."

"The chicken is not tasty anymore. I think they are using different spices. I’ve been a customer for years and they were always the BEST. I also ordered their chicken tamale and it had a piece of chicken that was almost 2 inches long. It used to have more than that. The servings got smaller. This place used to be our favorite Peruvian chicken restaurant. We were so disappointed about our meals and the tables were so dirty. Grease and finisher prints everywhere. It also looks like they have a new staff."
