"I wanted chicken wings and quesadillas to pick up for the football game, so my wife called five hours in advance and they said no problem. I got there 10 minutes before the stated time and the food was already packed, and when I got home--no surprise--it was ice cold. The good news is that when my wife called to complain, they said they would remake the order immediately. We did have to go back out, but the food was piping hot and delicious. It worked out in the end, but they should either figure out how to time the food accordingly or be willing to say that it's a busy day and can't guarantee the order."
"Two of us sat at the bar, which was not full, around 1pm on 1/14/24. 2 bartenders. One passed us several times, no acknowledgement like "hi, be right with you" or eye contact so I honestly thought he was a bus boy. The other bartender spent about 10 minutes in a conversation with someone at the bar. We almost left. Finally got menus and another long pause before getting asked about drink orders. We were ready to order when we got our drinks but weren't asked, just the the drinks dropped off and he zoomed off. Food was so-so. Undercooked "medium rare" burger came cold and raw in the center. French dip was dry overcooked meat, and had to ask twice for the dip. Bartender didn't notice empty glasses despite constantly walking by so had to flag him down for refills. Probably worst bartender service I've had in years. 2 bartenders and maybe 14 total people at the bar. The place was not busy, many tables open because the football game got postponed. It wasn't table orders distracting them. Impression is your bartenders don't want to be there or maybe shouldn't be bartenders."
"I have been meaning to visit Quincy's Bar and Grill in Potomac for a while, specially since they closed their Bethesda location about a year or so ago. They also have another location in Gaithersburg, which was recently expanded and remodeled, but I will leave that one for another occasion. I went on a Saturday afternoon and it had a fair amount of people both at the tables and at the bar. I chose to sit sat at one of the bar's counter tops by a set of windows that, strangely, look out at the bottoms of trees. The place is sparsely decorated, and the bar takes center stage, as it is typical of these type of neighborhood sport bars that also are a restaurant. Multiple giant TV screens constant show different sports, and there were whole families, couples and the odd drinking buddy pairs scattered throughout. The place is very clean, and there are plates and cutlery at the tables. However, after a server sat me at the table top, I waited for about 15 minutes, and didn't get greeted, given a menu or asked what to drink. I feel that, out of my whole experience, service is the area where Quincy's Potomac needs some improvement. One of the servers did come to my table top, and I got a menu and a beer from their tap offerings. Sports bars live and die by their chicken wings and burgers, so I decided I was going to try both. My order of wings came freshly fried and hot. I ordered half Parmesan and garlic flavored, and half blackberry habanero. The wings came with some of the traditional celery and carrot sticks, and an excellent blue cheese dressing. I had asked for the wings to be extra crispy and ordered extra veggies, but neither the wings seemed extra fried, nor did it appeared to me that I got extra celery or carrots (I got three of each). Then I had to ask the server for napkins and wipes (sports bars should give those automatically with every wing order). I want to emphasize that my server was friendly, attentive and nice... But the waiting for check in table service upon arrival, having to ask for napkins or wipes, that can be improved. The wings were huge and indeed delicious, specially the blackberry habanero wings, which were not specially super spicy. My second course was their double smashed burger, which I asked without a bun and tater tots as a side. The burgers arrived, and were of decent size, and no bun (thank you!) and as if to compensate for the lack of bread, an insane amount of perfectly fried and hot tater tots! Quincy's delivered in food, flavor and quantity, but needs to work a little bit on service small details that sets apart a good from an excellent sports bar."
"Came here for lunch on a Friday at noon and the place wasn't busy. Plenty of seating at the bar area and service was quick and easy. We ordered the Lightly Battered Shrimp with Korean BBQ sauce on the side and Build Your Own Burger with Tots. Food was delicious and I loved the fact that the shrimp were actual shrimps and not the tiny frozen ones. The Burger was made to order and came out just how my husband likes it. For drinks, I ordered the Spicy Margarita and my husband got a Yuengling. Quincy's is a great hang out spot. Would highly recommend to everyone."
