"Kalypso's played a very important role in my life in 2023 - they hosted my wedding reception, and the experience was so great that my partner and I celebrated New Year's Eve there as well! The location, first of all, is fantastic. I've dined and hung around Lake Anne scores of times. The restaurant is warm, inviting and always sets the scene for a great time no matter what time of day or season it is. The food is absolutely outstanding - particularly the spanakopita and the lamb chops. The flaming cheese is not bad either! Service is always heartfelt and striving to do their best for their guests. You really don't feel like a nameless customer here -- it is more like you are a guest in someone's home. Our wedding reception was beautifully arranged. Vicky (the owner) made sure all 175+ guests left happy - no expense spared. And it was just the perfect setting - outdoors, a bit of a chill in the air, perfect lighting and top notch food. Kalypso's is like home away from home for us and we will keep going back!"

"If I could have eaten the photo, I would have been more than satisfied. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs and was more than disappointed. The spaghetti was bland, unseasoned sauce, and meatballs to match. This is not the place to get pasta unless you are in a stomach touching your back type of hungry, and there is absolutely no alternative."

"Situated in the heart of Lake Anne Plaza. Kalypso's has a fun happy hour experience, either at the bar or sitting in the big outside eating area. Plus, you have a spectacular view of Lake Anne from anywhere you sit outside or near a window inside. With nice weather, the laid-back atmosphere is wonderful. Don't be surprised if you stay long past happy hour and close the place down!"

"Excellent patio, nice view of the Lake Anne. Good atmosphere. We visited on a warm day when it was too crowded, not enough wait staff. We sat in the patio and sipped our drinks. They brought out our dish and the second one never came. After more than an hour I went in and took the pizza we ordered as a take out. The staff were nice, and did their best on a very busy day. Will be back, hopefully it will be a better experience."

"Predictably horrible service (told to wait for our reservation, then told we didn’t have one, showed them then - allowed to sit and be ignored most of the night- only put up with this as we had our vegetarian person with us) excellent food, right in the middle of Lake Anne seasonal events. Maybe next time we’ll take a sampler to the brew house to be surrounded by friendly folk"
