"UPDATE: Bank called. Going to refund fees. Close account. The interest on the MM account is good. Lady from bank was knowledgeable and very informative. Good on the customer care! Run. Don't walk. Run!!!!! I kept getting $10 charges on my account. Would not refund. The bank automatically withdraws fees andbshiws account as in the negative when there is money in the account!!!!"

"Transfers take forever. Closed my account a month ago and they still trying to transfer money to a closed account. Called their customer service said there is no transfer ….. super unhelpful and seems very unprofessionally run. —————————————- Update reached out to the email provided and called no resolution from cfg. Had to do a dispute with USAA and block further withdrawals."

Management was previously "unable to refund fees due to corporate policies." 0/10 bank, use literally anyone else. Overreliance on predatory fees for basic checking & savings account. CFG is not integrated with Plaid or MX for sync with other applications. ACH times seem higher than average. Decent money market APY; however, not worth the hassle."

"It is 8:50 AM EST, called the 800 no answer, I opened a CD account online with all my main bank INFO. No email confirmation. I did not read google review before I open an account, I wish I had, very shady business. If putting money in is very hard imagine getting your money back......."

"I put in my application a month ago and still have not been able to complete the account opening process. It took multiple weeks just to get my account to be opened. Then I never got the confirmation deposits, and I had to reach out to get that initiated. To date, my account still hasn't been funded, even though that's the purpose of the confirmation deposits. It's extremely hard to get ahold of customer service. Phone wait times routinely exceed 50 minutes, and the digital banking team simply does not reply to emails. Trying to get simple things done with this bank is like pulling teeth. There's absolutely no reason it should take a month to open an account. I was working with one digital banking representative who was able to get my interest backdated due to the massive delay in account opening. However, that rep stopped replying to my email questions altogether and the backdating doesn't mean anything if my account never gets funded. The whole process has been unbelievably frustrating and I wish I went with another bank, even though CFG's rates are high. Now I feel like I'm trapped because if I go with another bank and CFG eventually gets around to trying to fund my account, obviously that's not good."
