"What a wonderful day I had yesterday! I had an appointment with Sam Wong at Sam Wong Salon in Frederick, MD. My first impression -- WOW! Walking into the salon automatically lowered my blood pressure. The salon is beautiful and calming, with soft colors all around. And my favorite beauty shop perk? Cleanliness! The place looked like it was ready for a magazine shoot. Very impressive. I was greeted by Sam Wong himself, who made me feel very comfortable. Sam showed me to his chair and we talked about what I wanted to have done. I told him I was conflicted -- my grey hair is growing out and I have some color left on the ends. Should I let my greys take over or should I color my hair? Sam suggested that I cut my hair a little bit shorter this time to get rid of most of the old color on the ends. He said that it would take one or two more haircuts to get it all to my natural grey. The hard part, he said, is getting through the growing out period. He asked if I had any pictures to show him and I told him I have several pictures of my dream haircut; unfortunately, they are sitting on my kitchen counter at home. No problem, he said, and he brought out an iPad where we looked at many pictures of different haircuts. We found the best one for me and Sam made it happen! I feel wonderful with my new 'do! Also, I'd like to give a big shout-out to Anne, who did a wonderful job shampooing my hair and giving me a relaxing head massage. What a treat! Anne and I talked and talked and I feel like we've been friends forever. Okay, people, here's the deal: You want someone who knows hair and how to cut it correctly? Sam is your man. And Anne is the cherry on top!"

"I LOVE this salon. I recently had my first visit. I saw Hope who reached out to me prior to my appointment and was super open to helping me achieve my hair goals! She was absolutely wonderful and I could not be happier with the result— I got exactly what asked for. She made the experience really comfortable and easy. She’s a real sweetheart and definitely a balayage expert! The salon itself is bright, welcoming, and clean; the atmosphere is lovely. I cannot recommend this salon (and Hope!) enough. "Such a wonderful & peaceful place. I love the atmosphere. It is so refreshing & relaxing there. My wonderful stylist is Suzi. She's very experienced- went to a great Paul Mitchell cosmetology school & is always going to NYC or LA for continuing education. She knows how to cut & color in all the latest styles. I can trust her to do what's right for me. They use all natural products at SW salon which not only is safe for my hair but great for the environment as well. Treat yourself...you'll be happy you did."

"So, this is a first time in over 20 years, that I can honestly say that I love my new haircut. Sarah was amazing. She sat with me and discussed my hair type and options for cutting. Since my hair is very naturally curly and coarse dry like texture, not as easy of a task as you may think. I can't wait to go back in 6 weeks to see what she can do with my color. I have about given up on my color but have the utmost confidence that it will be more than "OK I just have to deal with it" after the appointment. Don't hesitate to visit this small but lovely salon.
