"Food was great. Happy hour specials are very good. Only one bartender, everything took forever, I felt sorry for her. It's a little dark and dreary in there,even for a crab house."

"Bands are great here. The owners are phenomenal. Goldie is a fantastic server. Unfortunately, the owners son is trying some new stuff as manager. I absolutely HATE the new ticket system! You are crowded at tables often with strangers you don't want to be that close to. The tables are very close together. The bar is often out of liquor (deep eddys, truly, etc). I am offended to have to give a credit card, in advance, to have dinner there. These new changes have made me not go there as often as I used to."

"Always great food - burgers, shrimp salad, rib specials. Generous portions. Price very fair. Friendly service but sometimes inconsistent depending on who is tending bar. Table staff pretty-much excellent. Wish they had more draft selections (Craft, Hazy, IPA, etc.)"

"Stopped by for a quick drink and ran into a great band by accident. Animal Magnetism. Scorpions cover band. Damn they were good. There is nothing like the sound of heavy metal guitars thru Marshall Amps. What a great surprise it was and got me fired up for some 80s hairband music. Stables is well known for the bands and its a great atmosphere."

"Food was good. Generous portions. Was skeptical of the stuffed shrimp but they where good and large. Almost like a crabcake sitting on each of the 3 shrimp. Ribs were tender and tasty. Area was a bit dark and generally relatively cold. Kay(sp?) Was very kind and patient with my questions and did a great job."
