"We enjoyed lunch at this quaint English pub themed restaurant with a bit of a college hangout vibe. The food was excellent! My husband enjoyed a chicken curry and I had essentially shepherd's pie, though it is called cottage pie. Good selection of beers on tap such as Smithwicks and Guinness. Our only complaint is that it was a cold day and it was cold in the restaurant. We will definitely return."

"Unloved English Pub trying to figure out whether it's a quaint local bar or a British pub catering to the local college scene. Affordable prices, adequately prepared fish & chips and Welsh rabbit, pot pies and stews - standard pub favorites.. just missing something that makes you want to return."

"When you think of a British pub, this place fits the bill. A small slice of Britain just off the main street in Shepherdstown yielded an excellent beer selection on tap and some great pub appetizers. The bartenders were also the waitstaff, and the place was busy. TV's with sports playing (but not overly loud or taking over the place, dark wood behind the bar, regulars at the bar, and a steady stream of people coming and going."

"Stopped in for a beer and some Irish wiskey. Sat at the bar. No idea about food except my wife was here a while back and said the hummus was really good. Doesn't look like the cleanest place either. But pet friendly and nice people."

"Local spot full of soul, character, friendly staff and people. Food was full of tasteful flavors, especially, the fried pickles (a must order). Had a great time with my wife, spending time in the establishment for a long period of time talking over beers. Staff didn’t rush nor care and were welcoming. Great prices too."
