"I chose this dentist specifically because they had such high reviews. It made me feel confident I would receive excellent service and be treated fairly. Unfortunately, I experienced what I could suspect to be insurance fraud. I am detailing it here so others do not experience the same. I was told I needed two fillings in the back of my mouth. I was also told that my dental insurance only covered fillings on the teeth in the front of my mouth and that I would be responsible to pay out of pocket for the two fillings. This is my first time having dental insurance, so although I thought it strange, I trusted what they had to say. I paid $241 for the fillings upfront and got those filling done. And I would probably not realize anything, if my tooth didn't hurt for more than a month after procedure. So I decided to make another appointment and meanwhile I went online and checked my dental insurance website. Imagine my surprise when I see that this dentist office had billed my insurance company for the two fillings, and insurance company paid for it .Also, it stated that my responsibilty would be only $33. Now I do understand that mistakes happen and I can be reasonable. I have called the dental practice, and they said that they didn't know that my insurance would cover those. But why they didn't even try to call to my insurance to find out whats covered, and whats not. After that, they tried to lie to me that they didn't receive the money from insurance yet. So my insurance agent called them , and they accepted that they actually received payment. It's been over two weeks since then, and they still haven't reimbursed me. Every time I call them, they keep telling me story, that they need some kind of manager approval for this, and they are keep emailing him, but he doesn't respond back to them. This is absolutely unacceptable! I demand to be reimbursed immediately. Furthermore, I would like a personal phone call of apology from the 'manager' to convince me that this practice is not involved in insurance fraud. I would think this is of the utmost urgency of importance as it relates to the integrity of this business."
