"Incredibly frustrating app experience. It locks you out after only 2 failed password attempts with no link or any way to direct me to a way to unlock my account, leaving me searching how to do it on my own. Not only that but it wants a brand new password from me every time I do change my password. It says it won't accept the last 6 passwords I've used. Really? All my other apps use biometric sign in, meanwhile Bayvanguards doesn't work at all and forgets that I set it up. I will be moving my remaining money to my primary account. Their app experience is leaps and bounds more refined."
"Worse bank I've ever dealt with. They seem like they started as a few kids out of high school that thought it would be cool to start a bank. Horrible responses, incredibly unorganized, one person says one thing and someone else says something else. I put up working with them for several months to try and refinance a loan, and not until the night before closing did they tell me there was an issue with the title and they couldn't close. Another time they told me that even though the loan was processing and I hadn't received any mortgage payment statements while it was processing, they emailed me and said I needed to make the last two months payments and wire them by tomorrow so it didn't show up bad on their books. Another time the idiot loan processor I was working with confirmed that I would be able to e-sign all the closing documents which I said would work well because I was traveling. I then get an email from someone else confirming that I'd be able to get all signatures notarized and fedex it back the next day. Which I told them I couldn't because I was traveling as I told the other guy. It was truly just one idiotic unprofessional thing after another. If this bank was the only option for loans, I'd only deal with cash."
"This bank is horrible, they have very fluid rules depending upon how they're feeling. Customer service just apologizes without any resolution, answers from their online banking come back as rude and unprofessional. I will be moving my bank accounts from this bank after they have decided to put a hold on a $450.00 check at Christmas time with their only response being it's policy for any check over $225.00 to have an amount held, which is a lie since I often deposit checks over $225.00 and have not had any be held unless they were over 500."
"I too was inherited by Bay Vanguard when the bought Vigilant Federal. I left Bank of America to come to a smaller bank for in person service and to have a personal relationship with a person who has authority to actually make a decision about your account. Try accomplishing that at a mega bank. I have a bank card, everything thats said on these comments are true about the cards, Vigilant didn't even have Visa Cards, thats not what you should be selecting this bank for. Mega banks are made for card transactions, they follow you digitally and allow all sorts of things electronically that are too risky for a smaller bank. I have two cards, the mega bank card for travel and large purchases and the day to day card issued by Bay Vanguard. Problem solved."
"This bank bought out 1880 banks, and it has been nothing but a nightmare since. I have to call to increase limits in order to pay bills for my business (with my business account), they take forever to get back to me if they respond at all, they froze my business card for no reason on a Saturday making it impossible to do any transactions over the weekend, and the list goes on. They don’t care about you as a customer. Effective immediately, all of my money will be transferred to different bank, and they will never see me again. Save your precious time and energy by using a different bank from the very beginning."
