"I had my business insurance with Erie for many, many years. In 2020 another company (Federated) quoted me more coverage, and better coverage, for $6000 less per year. I was a little surprised that I was paying so much more for the insurance through Erie, especially since I had been with them for so many years. I obviously switched to Federated but I did leave my bond with Erie (they were cheaper on this one). Two and a half years later I just received notice from Erie that they aren't renewing my bond any longer. I called them to ask why and find out some details...they said that since I switched my insurance to another company they don't want to continue writing the bond for me. The reason for the 1-star review is two-fold: the fact that they are overpriced on their insurance bothers me, but also that their business model is to push away business instead of trying to be competitive. This one is a head-scratcher for me!"
