"They tried pulling some sneaky stuff adding an extra $2500 to my auto loan for not good enough insurance but they never called, emailed, or even sent a letter in the mail they just added it to my loan without contacting me. I refinanced that loan to a different credit union real quick after because they are just a scam"

"I have been trying to get a new debit card since Nov 7th because money was taken out of my account. I called again on Nov 20th and they told me they would put in a request and I could pick it up at one of the offices the next day. Got to the office, and was told that's not the policy,so no card. Called on Nov 21st, was told the request was not put in until the morning of the 21st. Never put in on the 7th. Not having my card is causing problems for me and my account. There was no investigation about my money, so it was put in on the 21st. Been with MECU for at least 30 yrs. This has been an awful experience."

"I called MECU concerning a lost debit card October 29th. I was told that my card would be shipped out and to me within 7 - 10 business days. I waited 2 weeks. Called back because I hadn’t received my card and was told To contact member services in order to get the card. I called member services who claims a hold on my account due to clarification of address. MECU sends mail all the time what more clarification do you need?! Here it is November 22nd and I still haven’t received my card. Just called again and was told the middle of next week. I’m so glad this organization sees 0 importance in its customers having access to the money that they keep in their accounts, not to mention the the many forms of bill pay linked to that debit card that was cut off to keep money safe. Now there is no way to pay those bills especially when the option isn’t to link a bank account. The absolute worst. Do BETTER !"

"I been with them for 8 months.My wallet was stolen. I reported to Call center. The person did two transactions on my account. One transaction there put 30.00 back in my account the second one there denial. So I went to branch in Martin Luther King The lady Rita act like she didn't want to be bothered.I want my money back in my account. So she put the paperwork to get it check into. I think some of these employees need to get a class on customer service.We are the customers that keep you a job and a check.So when you see customers you need to greet them with a smile not a jack up attitude."

"I called them today because my debit card was stolen, and I needed to deactivate it and request a new card. The person I spoke to kept saying my card had never been activated or used which wasn’t true. First she told me they’ll mail me a new card or I might need to come in person to pick one up “depending on what they say.” When I asked her to clarify what this meant she said I’ll need to call back during the member services business hours. It’s a Friday afternoon on a holiday weekend so they won’t be open till Tuesday, and I have no clue who has access to my debit card now. I’ll be closing my account with MECU asap."
