Zielinski Family Dentistry

"I had a series of fillings over three weeks here. On the third week I mentioned that the fillings from the first week were still a bit sensitive. They decided to do an xray. They left me alone in the room after the xray. Before coming back into the room I overhear the assistant ask the dentist if they looked at the scans. The dentist sighed and said “yeah, I’ll talk to him about it after”, then proceeds to do the next fillings. When she was done, she finally tells me that the xray shows that there is still some cavity left under the filling which is causing the sensitivity, and says that they will need to redo the filling. Then, instead of owning up to the fact that she messed up at her job, she turns around and blames it on me. I’m aware it’s my fault that I have a cavity, but aren’t you supposed to be the dental professional? How did you not see that the cavity went deeper than my gums in the original xray? How did you not notice that there was still cavity there when you were drilling my tooth the first time? I get that everyone makes mistakes, but to not tell me about the mistake up front and perform the next filling first so that you could bill me shows that you are just money hungry and don’t really care about your patients, and then to turn around and try to blame your mistake on me shows that you have no integrity."
