"I am baffled by the unanimous positive reviews because my experience was so drastically different. I did not receive the service I paid for and was given unsolicited advice that was totally incorrect for my situation. I scheduled a consultation specifically to have two contracts reviewed. For the first one, I wanted the non-compete reviewed because it had some unusual wording and I wanted to see if it applied to my new role as an independent contractor. The second contract was for my new role and I wanted it looked over to make sure everything was reasonable and worded correctly. I submitted both of these contracts and a detailed explanation of my situation for the lawyer's review. I was told that in addition to the consultation time, I would also have to pay for the lawyer's prep time, which seemed reasonable. During the phone consultation, the first thing the lawyer said to me was that she had not looked at my contracts. That was my entire reason for scheduling the consultation, and she didn't even look at them! She told me I would need to schedule and pay for an additional consultation and more prep time if I wanted the contracts reviewed. What?! She then spent the entirety of the 30 minute consultation giving me financial advice that I did not ask for. I repeatedly told her that I was doing what was recommended by my accountant and I fully intended to follow his advice. She would not listen and continued trying to convince me to do the opposite of what he had advised. At the very end of the consultation, she Googled my state's laws and discovered that I legally could not do any of the things she had been insisting on. Which is exactly why my accountant had advised me the way he did. She'd spent the entire consultation giving me incorrect, unsolicited advice. I was shocked when I received the invoice for nearly $400 shortly after hanging up the phone. She did not provide the services I paid for. She clearly did not use the 'prep time' I was required to pay for either - what is that time for if not to read my contracts and familiarize herself with my state's laws? Others rave about their experiences with this firm but I cannot say the same. I advise everyone I speak with to avoid it because for me it was a huge waste of time and money."
