"I am a first-time pool owner that recently moved into the area. I shopped around for quotes and found this place to be the most reasonable, so I became a new customer of theirs this year. I signed up for biweekly cleanings ($90/service) since I had little to no pool maintenance knowledge. I started with no pool chemicals for my pool and they provided everything I needed. From the pool opening to pool closing, they did a fantastic job and everything was reasonably priced as initially discussed. Mark and his team were really helpful and provided tips along the way. Really glad I chose this small and local company over the big name pool service companies that were quoting so much more than what Mr Pool Service charges. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a honest company that will service your pool!"
"Update from last year: This year we didn't have long stretches of temps above 90 degrees, but we did have many days of high heat and humidity. I noticed, around early August, that leaves from neighbors' trees were being blown into my in-ground pool. This usually happened after Labor Day. Sure enough, yesterday my filter clogged and stopped working. One phone call later, Mr. Pool's team was here and fixed the pump and cleaned the pool. Apparently pine needles and pine seeds began falling into the pool because of south westerly winds. They fixed the problem, and fast. This was important because at this time of year, mid August, algae is quick to form as the sun sets lower on the horizon, I I used Mr. Pool for the first time last summer. I wish I knew of the company earlier. After using another pool service for the past 12 years, and being a pool owner for more than 40 years, I finally found a service that handled my pool maintenance needs without any problems whatsoever - no algae, no matter how hot the weather was (and this past summer had numerous heatspells with temperatures in excess of 90 degrees), and they kept the water's ph right on target. I appreciate the company and its staff - they were extremely prompt, and very courteous."
"Mark is fantastic. About a week after they opened my pool the pump seized. Mark got the pool back up and running in just a few days even though this is the busiest time of year. Total professional. Working with him for years. Can't go wrong with Mark and his crew."
"I have been a customer for two years. I just called to schedule a one-time cleaning. After being told they’re not taking any new customers, which I am not (they had opened my pool in 2020 & we’ve shopped exclusively there ever since), I was asked for my address. After giving it to them, I was simply told, “I have a note here explicitly telling me that we are not doing Philadelphia anymore. No more Philly.” I understand you’re incredibly busy, but I was told one-time services can be scheduled. So, after telling me you’ll only service customers in your database, which I am, you tell me you won’t service me because I live where I live? You’ll schedule people in the suburbs, but not 15 minutes away in NE Philadelphia? That’s a disgusting customer experience. I refuse to give you my business anymore after this. I will be taking it elsewhere & no longer recommending you to friends, family or on social media."
