"Real solid pool store with a very good water test system. Employee's are honest and only suggest what you need. Can you get all the same stuff online, yes. What online shopping doesn't provide is the knowledge base Cannonball gives with every test is priceless. Shopping local keeps these guys in business and it's only cheaper from online retailers if don't run into any problems or yoy know exactly how to use the products correctly. I go to a lot of pool stores as i have been an industry professional since 1998. The Owner knows how to run a first class pool store by putting the needs of the customer first."
"I just started using this pool supply store because it is conveniently located close to my house. Their prices are consistent with larger pool supply stores and other local stores. (not the websites like Doheny's etc). For the several times I visited, their staff has been courteous and helpful to my pool supply needs. I just wanted to add that as a rebuttal to a prior review by Jason Michaels, I have been a pool owner for 7 years. The house I bought came with an in-ground pool even though this wasn't in my home purchase criteria. For the first couple of years, there is going to be a bit of a sticker shock for chemicals and work necessary to maintain the pool water balance. During this time, I've had to replace a liner, a booster pump, a filter, and a cleaning robot controllable with my cell phone. I'm going to have to replace a safety cover this year bringing the grand total for all this close to 10k. Aside from the liner, I did the rest myself. The prior one-star review is unfair as opening a pool takes time and cost for chemicals. Once you try doing it yourself it will be clear why the cost to open a pool is what it is. Good luck. I'll be glad to answer further questions."
"I bought a house last year with a 12x24 above ground pool. I had never owned a pool before so when I saw this local pool shop I was happy to seek their help. First they installed a salt system and then at the end of the season they closed the pool with all new parts - cover, water bags, etc. Fast forward a couple weeks later and 2 of the water bags were empty and 1 other had slipped into the pool. Now that it’s time to open the pool they want to charge me over $100/hr in addition to the regular opening fee to get the water and leaves out of the pool (that are there because the cover sank.) My question to them was - do you think it’s fair for me to pay you extra because you did a shoddy job closing the pool? Justin’s response - Yes. Needless to say I will find another pool company to deal with."
"I'm a huge fan of this company and the staff. We had a team led by Mike install our pool. The one thing I strongly recommend is that if you have any questions or doubts- make sure you ask Mike and take his advice. He knows it all, and he provides stellar guidance. The pool is perfection- couldn't be happier with the end result. I'm at the store regularly checking the water and keeping the chemicals balanced, and the entire crew at the store is friendly and knowledgeable. Wish all companies were as well staffed and knowledgeable/helpful!"
"the style and design of the store is really tacky and looks out of place in the historic middle of town. And really weird that they don't let people park in front where everyone always did in the past when it was a deli. Not to mention poor taste to have a grand opening in the middle of a pandemic when other small businesses are forced to shutter. I'll give it one extra star for at least doing something with that empty building so that it doesn't look run down anymore, but what they chose to put there and the timing of it was incredibly poor taste."
