"I have used Starr Penn Pools for many years. They have opened and closed my pool and even Replastered my entire pool to the tune of $17,000. The work that they did was fine, I had no problems until the pool was opened the second year after the work was done. There were cracks in two areas which drained the pool slightly. When we called the owner he was abrasive and rude and told us it was our fault. When we told him we thought the leak was from behind the wall he told us that was impossible. When he came To look at the cracks, my husband tried to explain what he thought had happened Jon got angry and walked off the job and told us to find someone else. I felt as though we were being held hostage because he was the one that had Replastered the pool. He should be the one doing the repairs ( at no charge/some kind of guarantee ) unfortunately that was not the case. I called him back myself and got him to repair the cracks and we were able to use the pool last year. We still felt as though it was a Band-Aid on a larger problem. This year when we open the pool. We have two gigantic cracks in the pool. The owner was here when the pool was opened and saw all the cracks. We tried filling the pool up, but the cracks were so bad the pool would not hold water at all. The one crack was about 15 feet long in the same spot as last year but bigger and the other crack in the same spot as last year but much deeper . He was aware of all of this we set up a date to have it repaired. He sent us to purchase new coping and tile. The day before the repair was supposed to take place. He decided he was uncomfortable doing the repair and referred us to another Company via text message. I texted him back and told him that I thought he was a horrible businessman and that he did not stand behind his work and that I would be posting on social media how we were treated . I have currently had three estimates done. It turns out that the cracks were from water getting in from behind the wall and cracking the pool. I’ve been told I will need to completely redo my entire pool and the cement surround. This is going to cost me more than I originally paid out. Do not use Starr Penn ‘pools they do not stand behind their work."

"Star Penn Pool Review Sadly, while driving on Edison-Furlong road, their truck hit the branch of a tree knocking it down and then hitting my car as I could not swerve away. The branch covered most of two lanes. The driver slowed down but then sped up when I pulled over to see the damage. Just amazing. I had to remove the huge branch from the road then. I called their number and the female who answered took my information. I was later called by the owner who started off our conversation asking what happened, then became combative and interrupting me and accusing me of insurance fraud. I can only assume his did this as a scare tactic. He then denied that they hit anything but then stated his driver may have but did not recall. He asked if I was a lawyer. I told him all I cared about was letting his driver know. He was very combative the whole time and rude. I told him that I don’t want anything but an apology. He gave a very vague apology that ended with him implying it was my fault I ran into a tree branch that his driver hit. He then said when I mentioned placing this on a review that his customers don’t look online and that he has had them for 20 years. This is not someone I would recommend doing any business with. I did go back and took photos of the tree and also of my car. The damage to my car is superficial, but the tree where it looks like they hit it was actually a good foot or two to the right of the shoulder. I was just so frustrated after dealing with this guy."

"Started out great with the company, responsive and helpful when we bought our house with a pool. Then the replacement of a part that took 3 times to get right and lack of accountability for the incorrect installation left me leery. They were referred to us by existing clients so I thought maybe it was a fluke. The fall closing went fine however the opening was incredibly disheartening with extra unexpected charges and lack of communication. My spa was overflowed, my filters were not on properly, and generally just a sloppy job and extreme lack of communication. They seem to have washed their hands of our issues and do not seem to care that we are disappointed. We will not continue as a client of theirs."
