Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hagerstown, an IHG Hotel

"This hotel has potential, but communication is an issue. They're currently under a remodel. Unfortunately they are still taking reservations for rooms that aren't available. The kitchen is also closed so the normal hot breakfast is unavailable during our trip as well. I did receive a call from the manager who was courteous and I genuinely believe she understood my frustration. The service otherwise was subpar."

"We just had a very pleasant stay at this Holiday Inn. The staff were extremely observant, funny, and helpful. AJ at the front desk was joyful and gave us a warm welcome as we checked in late at night. In the morning, Adrian helped us make sure we had the tools we needed to uncover our truck from the snow that fell overnight. The breakfast was great- the biscuits were legitimately really yummy. Would recommend!"

"The hotel is under construction and has not changed the way the guests enter which means you must walk through all the construction mess. The bathroom looked very nice but the door handle entering the bathroom was ready to fall off. Could not use the sink without two hands as the faucet was falling off. The shower doors tried to take my hand off. And if that is not bad enough, every time the heater turned off, it sounded like a small child was being murdered."

"We stayed 1 night, dog friendly. Thursday, November 2nd, 2023. Very nice Holiday Inn Express. A little difficult to find off 81 using GPS, but we found it not a huge big deal, don’t let that deter you. Rooms were as expected. The hotel was under what looked like a major renovation. Breakfast was as expected. My main review here is the awesome staff. Even during this renovation which they had to work in this small space and make it all work and maintain their friendly smile, late at night or early in the morning was what impressed us the most. Willing to help us, to get us spoons and bowls when we asked is what keeps us loyal to Holiday Inns . Jeff, Sue, Lexi and Rico"

"The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Whatever you needed they were there for you. The location was great, right in the heart of everything your looking for to eat. The hotel and room were clean. However the hotel is very old and outdated. The plumbing in terrible, I had to plunge the toilet 5 times during my 2 day stay. The furniture was very old and the lighting in the hotel and rooms are very dim. They are currently under construction so hopefully if we return again this hotel will be in its best shape."
