"Yet another one star review for Dr. Kobil. Took my two boys in for a routine appt. My kids are well behaved and can handle themselves so I let them gain independence by going back with dentist alone figuring if I was needed they would come get me. Appointment goes without anyone saying anything to me. The assistant comes out at end telling me how she "disciplined my kids harshly for not brushing". My kids may not be the best at it but they brush at least once if not twice a day, but it is not her place to "discipline" my child. She then went on to call them liars and try to tell me how kids "fake" brushing. After I declined a followup appointment they had me talk to the "office manager" who apparently didn't think her "disciplining" my child was not a big deal....after talking with my kids I found out once they took them from the waiting room they sat them in the back and did very little for the almost 1.5hrs they were back there - appt was at 9:45 to which we arrived early and we did not leave till almost 11. Also learned that with all the "disciplining" she was proud of....it didn't include any EDUCATION for my children about how to properly brush or not have the same issues next time. Overall a horrible experience. They call themselves a "pediatric" dentist but they should not be able to work with kids at all. Reading other reviews I'm not the only one with this experience of rudeness and lack of tact when working with children. Perhaps it's time for this place to close up. If you love your kids - do not take them here."
"I will recommend this place to anyone with kids. My daughter is terrified of the dentist usually & the dental hygienist, Amanda, was so monumentally good with her I couldn't believe it. She had my daughter laughing & smiling the entire time. She was amazing. Dr. Kobil genuinely cares for her patients & puts their care before anything else. Words cannot express how grateful I am for such an understanding dentist who goes above & beyond. Shaney at the front desk is always a joy to deal with & knew I was paying out of pocket. She explained to me the pricing & went out of her way to offer mailing me the pricing for future visits we set up so there won't be any surprises on my end. These three ladies were so amazing & I will not take my daughter anywhere else. Thank you ladies! ❤️"
"If I could give zero stars, I would. I took my daughter here a couple years ago when she was 2 and never went back. The dentist was running late with another appointment. The hygienist was terrible and rude, scared my daughter and was rude about the fact that she was scared. She ended up accidentally stabbing my daughters gums with the dental tool. I had to stop her from continuing because my daughter was screaming and she just stood there with her arms crossed and a scowl on her face until the dentist finally showed up. I hope she no longer works there. I can’t say enough bad things about that experience. You’d think a children’s dentist would hire people who are capable of working with children of all ages."
"The dentist that works there is fantastic but she's leaving to go teach, the dentist that owns the place is TERRIBLE, my 3 year had an appointment to get a crown on and they were running behind Kobil came into to our room to start the work rather than the lady we were seeing. Kobil never once introduced herself, said hello to my kid, or told her what they were going to do. She put her gloves on and told her to open her mouth, my daughter was scared and she told the assistant to get her mouth open after my daughter screamed for 15 min because they were forcing her to open her mouth. Kobil threw her tools down walked out and said this isn't going to work. The other dentist came in talked to her was able to get half the work done but she was still very scared. Kobil was the rudest supposed to be professional I've ever met. Not to mention her kids or grandkids were peeking in the whole time watching the cartoons in our room distracting my daughter. Needless to say we told them not to reschedule and will never return. She is one miserable woman that can't even simply introduce herself. My daughter was great her previous 3 visits with other dentists that actually talk to her and tell her what is going on."
"I loved Kobil and her office for the first several years there. Then one day I took my 4 year old in for a filling and when he started to cry because he was scared and the assistant said, "Mommy can only stay if you are good." Why someone would think that is appropriate to say to a scared child is beyond me. The rest of the appointment just went downhill from there. They were so rude and clearly irritated that they were having to deal with a frightened child. I don't know why you would go into pediatric dentistry if you aren't willing and able to handle anxious kids. We never went back."
