"Please stick with a private, family practice and avoid chains (including this one). When I called to schedule, it must've been a general customer service number, since I was given the option to select a location. She told me that I would have cleaning and x-rays done. When I arrived at this location, I was given new-patient paperwork to complete. I was taken to a room where you'd get your mouth attended to, and as I sat in the chair, she at least sternly said that first visits are x-rays only. I asked why, and she got more irritated by saying that it's policy, and that the mouth has to be examined first. I regretted not saying, "Thanks but no thanks", and I should've left at that point. She said, "It looks like you're unsure, so I'll bring in the dentist for you." The dentist had a more professional tone, but things aren't always what they seem. This one said that because you are a new patient, cleaning will happen on your next visit. So I got the x-rays done in another room, and then a 3-D image of the inside of my mouth was done. Also, finding out as you go (should be the theme of this place), my blood pressure was taken. A hygienist came in to poke around my gums, while giving them a rating, and the original person who took me into the room, was typing simultaneously. Things become more suspicious. I was left with the hygienist one-to-one. She told me that my next visit would involve applying an antibiotic numbing gel to my gums, in order to remove plaque or tarter buildup between the teeth and gums. I was told that at least 2 visits are needed to give the mouth time to heal. I replied, "Of all dentist offices I've been to, the dentist and hygienist always said that I have a great smile and teeth, that I should be blessed for that, and that I make their job so easy." She then says that I have periodontal disease. I replied, "With general routine checkups (including cleaning each visit and x-rays every other), if there was an issue, then I'm sure it would've been mentioned to me. She responded, "Any other questions?" I said nope, and she directed me to checkout with the receptionist. The receptionist handed me a printout of a breakdown of charges. I said, "What's this? X-rays are covered 100% under my plan." She replied, "Correct. This is for the procedure that would be performed the next time you come in. It showed that I would owe 2 thousand some dollars." I asked for a copy of my x-rays (got them), and said that the majority of what took place here I have never experienced. As I walked out the door, I thought, "What a waste of time." Afterwards, a co-worker of mine said that the Aspen Dental he went to messed up his mouth from a wisdom-tooth extraction. In conclusion, I am led to believe that you care about making $ more than a patient's well-being."
"The women who took us back was rude and didn't understand that even though my daughter is over 18 due to her disability she needed me with her and said it is just an xray and lied the only time I was finally allowed back to her was when it was time for payment. I love the dentist at this location but three one staff member made me very upset.. should it happen again I will be finding a new office. This last experience was horrible went with my cold for a bad tooth refused to pull it referred us to a hospital...really"
"I broke a tooth out of my lower dentures. Aspen got me in the next day and fixed my dentures in less than an hour. Everyone working there was so helpful and accommodating. I have had nothing but good experiences in the two years I have been a patient."
"I had a good experience, I called in for an emergency visit and they did all the X-rays and exam and sat me down and told me what my bill would be with my plan went threw and got me preapproved for their financing. The lady doing my X-rays, BLESS HER SOUL. She was very patient with me and I swear just deserves an award. I will be continuing my dentistry there and would recommend people there everyone down to the lady at the front desk was respectful and kind"
"My only suggestion is after my tooth extraction I was in severe pain and told the assistant and she sent me to the lobby, I feel like I was going into shock and kept telling the secretary I was in tons of pain and confused and no one said anything. I asked for the oral surgeon because I couldn't remember what he told me and he immediately knew something was wrong, brought me back and they had me stay until I was comfortable, not confused, and stopped shaking. He asked why I didn't say anything and I said I did I told the assistant and the secretary. I absolutely loved this place, it was top notch I just suggest that anyone on the floor have their ears and eyes open to patients who have just had a more serious procedure. Not a complaint, just a suggestion."
