"Nice place to just go for a walk, but there are other trails around for a good hike with a nice view. I took bald mountain loop trail to the vista trail which was a great LONG hike/walk. Easy hike, just keep an eye on the blazes cause the leaves cover the trail."
"We really enjoy the bike train and cycling the 25 miles back to Jim Thorpe. We are a group of geocachers that enjoy caching along the trail. So much beauty and history."
"This is a beautiful area, such crisp fresh air. The path is wide & level, easy to walk, ride bikes, use a stroller, etc. The 2 waterfalls, Buttermilk Falls and Luke Falls are lovely and so easy to view right along the path. I highly recommend visiting."
"We did the bike path from Jim Thorpe heading west. We went about 12 miles out before turning around. The river is beautiful, and the hills are magnificent with little waterfalls to be found. Trail is wide enough for a car, packed stone chips, but not too dusty. Parking is a bit tight in town, and you'll have to pay . Park just outside of town for free and along the trail. Your adventures await!"
"Visited after hours on a Sunday. Park was at full capacity according to the park rangers. Creek/water was on the colder side being early July but refreshing given the hot summer day. The creek is good for kids but the access into the creek is a little tricky - it is muddy and on a decline/hill so be careful entering and exiting. Surroundings are well kept, some trash remnants from people but otherwise clean. Wish there was more benches, saw at least one but flat enough ground for picnic blankets etc. keep in mind they charge parking fee per car to access the grounds which is normal for the state parks in PA to keep it clean and functioning."
