"I had squirrels eat through the wiring in my Toyata Camry resulting in all kinds of problems. They were up front about possible total tepair costs and sought my permission before starting work. In the end the ECU (electronic control unit) was damaged requiring replacement. $900+ $375 for the part & programming from the dealer. Ken was able to source one for less than half that amount and get everything done for about $750 less than I was expecting and budgeted for. I would recommend this shop to anyone."

"Charged me $50 for an estimate on top of the $80 for the oil change and quoted me thousands for low-cost parts. Said I wasted his time reviewing this car for one day overnight, but he couldn't give me a quote for thousands until he had my car overnight: see the gimmick, yet? Get the picture? On top of trying to rob me (a young buck who looks like he doesn't know what he's doing), he was snappy with me, too. The man will literally take every advantage he could on a customer."

"This is the best independent repair facility I have ever been to. For over 20 years I’ve been taking my cars to Ken at Somerdale Automotive. He has repaired and serviced my Land Rover, Volvo wagon, Volvo hybrid , Volkswagen diesel, And two different Jaguars over the years. Honest and reliable are two words describe Ken. After reading two negative reviews I can not believe they true. I know many people don’t want to pay for quality and try to get something for nothing. I use synthetic in all of my cars and high quality oil cost money. There are a lot of shops that will rip you off and try to sell you things you don’t need. Somerdale Automotive is definitely not one of them. I trust Ken emphatically!"

"I can’t believe I allowed this man to rip me off again. Will charge you for services you did not ask for without consulting with you. He is so crooked that he no longer have mechanics working for him. He really needs to be reported to BBB in which I am about to do. If you like to lose money…please take your vehicle there. Be extremely careful. Ken will charge you for services you did not ask for or require and will give you a ridiculous reason why. In addition, he does not inform you of the extra charges before he does them which takes away my approval rights. I gave him the benefit of the doubt the first time. NEVER AGAIN!"
