"This pharmacy used to be great. But in the last few years staffing has been so low that they often only have 1 person working at a time. I'm not sure if it is inadequate pay at this location, or a lack of people interested in being a pharmacist. My guess is the former. Because of this lack of staff, the staff they do have are overworked and unable to meet the demands. It is often impossible to get through over the phone because they are helping customers in store. The 1 in 100 times I actually get through over the phone, the person I am speaking to is so stressed that basic customer service, such as saying, "thank you for calling" or, "have a great day" rather than just hanging up, is nowhere to be seen. They are also so busy that they often don't see refills requested through their website. On more than one occasion I have had to go to the pharmacy just to request that my prescription actually gets refilled. Recently my dogs prescription was entered incorrectly, providing me with only 20 days supply but showing that it couldn't be refilled for 2 months. Because of this error I was unable to attempt to refill it through the website and had to call. The man I spoke to was clearly trying to juggle too many things. Harris Teeter, you need to get in more, quality, staff. Change your policies if needed to actually be able to retain them."
"This pharmacy is clearly understaffed, but the team who does work here works very hard. I had to fill prescriptions for myself and my son this week, and they were so helpful with troubleshooting an issue communicating with my doctor and helping me understand how to give my toddler his medicine. They also really went above and beyond in getting a new prescription ready as fast as possible. Thank you!"
"Tried calling this pharmacy for more than an hour....tried again the next morning... not sure what the issue is but NO ONE EVER picks up. Tried calling the main Harris Teeter pharmacy number as well and it just kept cycling thru the same questions.I was trying to be polite and calling to cancel a vaccine shot... oh well - hope their issue doesn't screw up my ability to get the shots somewhere else."
"I’ve never had a problem getting my prescriptions filled here. Harris Teeter Pharmacy is nice and the pharmacists appear to know what their doing. The other employees are at the least helpful and some are very friendly!"
"My wife and I have used this pharmacy for several years and continued to do so even after we left the neighborhood. In roughly the last 6 months there has been a noticeable decline in customer service and competence. To preface, I’m not talking about someone having an occasional bad day or experiencing a longer wait during busy times. We’re human and stuff happens. Instead, the unanswered phones and need to resend documents mentioned in recent reviews is now the norm. The staff is short and frankly seems put upon by your presence. This should not come as a surprise because the pharmacy manager Andee is outright rude. There have been previous incidents where my wife and I shrugged off her rudeness and let it go. However, my wife’s most recent trip will be the last. It was necessary because no one picks up the phone (for customers or doctors offices) and it had been 4 DAYS since since her script was called in. She inquired, not complaining but simply asked, as to whether they had what they needed to fill her script. This person snapped back at my wife with “don’t panic it’s just x medicine” and “you’ll be fine”. I don’t care if you are getting an aspirin refilled, the audacity of a pharmacist to make a comment like this is unacceptable, ESPECIALLY when they have literally zero medical history/context as to why something is being prescribed in the first place! This is not part of your job description. I don’t know what school this person went to but I question if any credit hours were spent on personalized medicine, professionalism, or decorum. The fact she is a manger of anything is unconscionable. I can’t imagine her managing a yard sale let alone a place dispensing much needed medicine. Never again and Good riddance."
