"A human at the pharmacy answered the phone on one ring!!! And were helpful... CVS will easily leave you on hold for an hour. I am transferring my RX's to Safeway."
"The pharmacist and his assistant went above and beyond to help me get my new medication sorted. They advised me to consider generics saving me hundreds of dollars."
"I have been repeatedly frustrated with their responsiveness: I often call and no one picks up the phone!, I find it exceedingly difficult to get through by phone, in the past 3 months. It seems to me that they are overwhelmed. Also, the pharmacist "on duty" seem to rotate every day so that some refill requests "fall through the cracks". I have asked for a manager to discuss the problem, but they said that there's "no manager"..."
"I was looking forward to transferring my prescription to this pharmacy, as this is where I have been doing my grocery shopping the last few months, and I thought it would be very convenient for me. My previous neighborhood pharmacy has closed. However my experience with Tran at the Safeway pharmacy left me in tears after I left. I went in to pick up my new prescription (which my doctor had called in a few days beforehand), and was told by Tran that because my doctor was based in VA, and not local to the Bethesda area, I could not continue my prescription here. I was a little dumbfounded since I had never heard of such a policy. My prescription hd been filled fine for several months at a naerby pharmacy without this requirement. I asked if this was a Safeway policy? She said no. And she said she did not know this doctor. Since when is that a requirement? I appreciate that pharmacists do their due diligence to check accuracy of things, etc. but Tran was incredibly dismissive of me and told me not to come back. I continued to tell her I did not understand, and I still now do not understand. I left feeling like I had done something wrong. I was so upset and deflated after being told not to come back. It was so upsetting to me. I am an honest person, simply trying to get my prescription while I do my grocery shopping and I left feeling like a lowly dismissed person."
"Leticia and Tran are friendly, helpful and accurate. I've never received an incorrect #pills or incorrect dosing instructions which is a problem I've had at every CVS and even the former Bradley drug. When our son was in treatment for cancer, Leticia in particular was beyond helpful with the meds, instructions, and insurance challenges. As a bonus, Leticia has an incredibly gentle touch with flu shots. Safeway may be a chain, but you receive a small town personal touch at this pharmacy!"
