"DO NOT setup auto pay. This is a easy way for Erie to steal money from you. After changing half my vehicles to another provider that covered them for the amount of miles I drove them a year, which was very little, they threw a fit. They would not cover any new vehicles I bought unless they were added the day of purchase instead of giving you a few days. The other insurance provider didn’t cover cars that were driven daily. Therefore, I moved all my vehicles, and canceled the policy 9 days before the auto pay was supposed to pull from my account. That way they had time to fully stop the auto pay. Not the case here. A refund check was issued for only part of the overpay. They won’t refund the full amount even though coverage stopped on July 1st. This is because they didn’t get the paper work finished that was mailed until a later date. Yet the vehicles weren’t covered past July 1st. This is not a way to treat your customers that have no accidents, no tickets, or outstanding balance issues. Stay away from Erie."
