"I took my husband in for a cleaning. She asked if her was on any blood thinners after giving her a complete list of his medications, I told her aspirin and another blood thinner due to a resent stroke. She cleaned his teeth and also did a scraping of his gums which started bleeding badly. She then instructed her assistant to floss his already bleeding gums. This was 8:45 am. Several hours later the bleeding became much more severe and he was having large clots. She advised me the bleeding would stop and he needed to swallow. After a few more hours the bleeding was even more severe. I called again and she instructed me to put a teabag on his gums. The bleeding finally stopped at about 1:30 am, approximately 16 hours later. I will be looking for a new dentist for my 80 year old husband."
