Dollar General

"has everything you need.. basic things. however, the floor is extremely dirty, looks like it hasn't been swept or mopped in years. I've noticed this at other dollar general stores as well.. many times the stock is just sitting everywhere in the floor, and you have to walk around it. post COVID world we all live in, sadly."

"Been to this Dollar General many times with no problems. But today I had the most rude cashier ! She needs to learn some people skills and needs to lose the attitude."

"I will start by saying it’s not a perfect store. However for the things you need when you are on the island, it is perfect. It’s a dollar general. People have something to complain about everything. All you need to know is the staff is decent, products for all needs, prices fair, and it’s right in the center of the island ( that I have felt extremely safe in at all hours of day and night). Perfect in my opinion for a dollar general."

"Not very clean. Some of the lights inside were not working. Dim inside was perfect as the parking lot outside is very poorly lit. Customers exiting the store all rushed to get in their cars. As an island visitor, I'm not sure but this may be in a bad area. Family Dollar just up the road is much cleaner and well lit."

"This store is always messy and disorganized. It is hard to find an employee other than the cashier. That being said, it is our go-to place to pick up everything we forgot to bring to the island. Today we picked up a set of bedsheets, a power strip, and sugar for our morning coffee. Last trip we bought cheap bathmats at Dollar General because our rental home didn't supply them. Prices are good and for that we are willing to overlook the messy shelves and lack of adequate staffing."
