"Re-posting a review from Sept. 2021 that was somehow deleted...To be clear, I did not hire ROLE to work for me, my review is based on my experience with the company as they work on my neighbor's home and what I think is a lack of professionalism, integrity and character. The company is a few weeks into a project that is expected to last several months. As part of the project, the company dug a lot of soil out of the yard and pushed it to the bank of the yard and directed the runoff into a ditch behind the house between the project and mine. On a Sunday, we got a pretty heavy rain that resulted in an extraordinary about of that dirt flowing into my yard, flooding both the yard and filling my pool with dirt/mud. To Ed's credit, he got to my house quickly Sunday evening to see the damage, but said very little beyond offering to have someone power wash my pool area and reminding me that we are expected to get a lot of rain in the coming days. Sure enough, someone came down Monday morning and did a quick cleaning on the surface, which didn't really scratch the surface of our problems. Monday evening as I traded messages with the homeowner who hired ROLE, and I asked what they had done to divert the water ahead of the coming storms (that Ed already commented on), he told me they did nothing, they are already diverting the water to the back (which caused the problem) and that there was nothing they could do. A texting argument followed and on Tuesday, they did make some adjustments, but too little too late, as an afternoon storm on Tuesday resulted in another dirty flood. I had to rent a pump and stay up all night when hurricane Ida's remnants came through the area to turn the pump on as needed to divert the water. At no time did I ever see Ed come to check the damage after those subsequent storms, nor did I receive any offer to help clean up. Instead, Ed and his workers fired up their saws and kept working on their project while I was left to clean up their mess alone. The ROLE site says that they build pools. Yet when they turned my pool into a disgusting mess, they did nothing. I was only told that the project will take about another two months and then they can address the drainage issues. I suppose we're just supposed to pray for dry weather or keep cleaning in the interim. I have been working from dawn to dusk to clean up this mess, and now one full week after the initial incident, I still have work to do. Again, Ed at least visited my home to see the damage after the first flood he created. He really was not helpful, but at least he visited. After two subsequent floods, he never visited, never checked on my yard and never offered any help again. This company may do great work, I frankly have no idea. But I do question the professionalism and integrity of the company based on my experience, so if that is important to you, I suggest that you consider my story when making your decision. September 2023 update. Two years into Ed's projects with our two neighbors and the mudslides continue. Fortunately not in out pool, but we can't leave the house without stepping in or driving through mud."
