"The only good interaction I had was with a deli worker. Everyone else I interacted with was ignorant and made it seem like you're bothering them if you need help. They're all pretentious and condescending. If you pick self check out, good luck. It stops and assumes you're not scanning some items(stealing) and then you have to wait for an employee to come over. The employees are fully aware of the light on the machine that shows when a customer needs assistance but instead they continue to stand around and talk with other employees. I had family members rave about Giant but my experience was the opposite. When I told them which location I shopped at, they said that was the problem. They go to other locations and love it. This one is an issue and I'll give a different location a try."
"An executive from corporate should visit this site and actually shop for themselves. They will see that the produce isn’t fresh or of quality. They will also realize that store prices are inflated purposefully. Lastly and most annoyingly they will see how unprofessional and chaotic it is to do self checkout and have to request a bag. This store doesn’t trust its customers enough to have them checkout and select how many bags they used. I question if the reason is about the “demographics” no other market is restricted access to this degree. This Giant location has some sort of inequality issue. To begin with why should customer’s have to pay for brown paper bags? people are angry about the plastic bag charge because they have to pay for something that used to be free. Plastic bags are terrible for the environment, and it's important that we do what we can to reduce our reliance on them. But aren’t brown paper bags just as important. My point is stop annoying customers & treating them unfairly."
"November 12th 2023 - I found expired September 2023 Genoa salami. I brought it to the counter. I bought Annie’s vegan Mac and unfortunately I got home just now and it’s expired from September. I don’t think there’s an excuse for it. The Genoa salami I got instead of the expired one is March 2024. So that tells me you guys get it 6 months in advance meaning no one is checking properly within months of it being on the shelf AND the person restocking too. October 2023 - I started to come here because it’s close to acme and I really had no alternative. Prices are expensive here but it should better than acme right? ( where I love Asian foods and I would go and get them but i told them repeatedly about expired stuff and they just didn’t care) so here’s what’s happening at giant now: I came September 29 2023 for some sausage Gardein I cooked it oct 13th. It was expired since June 2023. I returned it today Oct 16 and the woman asked me if I want a replacement. I check these shelves and there’s still expired stuff. On that September 29th I also wanted some Genoa salami. The whole section was expired. I brought like 8 bags of them over to customer service. The whole reason why I left acme to go to giant is because of the expiration issue. But this is bad. Both times the manager was called over about expired stuff. And I’m still finding expired stuff. I hope they really change their lack of supervision with this. June 2023 - prices have become extremely overpriced both times I went in may and June. Definitely go elsewhere. 2022 - Prices are cheap, better than acme which is around the building. quality of the actual items I’m not quite sure though although acme is not much better. I guess this would be a really good competitor to Acme as it’s the only legit grocery store around this area. I would still say that acme has more variety than this giant. The fruits and vegetables here look reliable and everything is still fresh and new. Parking lot is very busy."
"Great 1st impression. I came here for the 1st time this past weekend. I ordered deli trays and fried chicken tray. Everything was good and everyone enjoyed. The real compliments I want to express are to the wonderful employees at this location. The deli team was awesome. Friendly, really nice people. I was also impressed with a young man who I ask to help me find sauerkraut. We didn't find it together, but he found it and found me several aisles over to give it to me. The young man who was cashier was also wonderful. I felt like they all went over and above to help. I wish I would of gotten names, but I will call and let the manager know the times I was there. Take care of these employees, good people like these folks are hard to find. Well done Team, you have converted another life long Acme shopper."
"Came here the other day for the first time because I was in the area and this is a very nice Giant. Everything is very nice and organized and clean and neat. They have a good variety of products and everything for the most part was fully stocked up which was good. I would come back again in the future."
