Rosedale Recreation Center

"PROS: The library has a great children's area, staff is extremely friendly, and computer/printing services are great. The field is in decent shape. The staff does a great job for civic duties like voting, vaccinations and more. CONS: The playground is a nightmare. A real shame since it's one of the more unique and accessible playgrounds in the city. But it's already falling apart, often covered in trash/graffiti, and I've even seen human feces there. The field also often has trash or broken glass in some areas. Pool is way too crowded and is quite small. The slides are almost always closed due to lack of staff. NO OPINION: I've never used the gym or exercise equipment."

"I was at a birthday party so it was my first time inside the building! It was clean and safe! The room we were in was big enough for everyone to move around comfortably! It started to rain so the staff told us to pack up and leave so the teenagers could use the room but we were almost finished! I'm usually on the football field so it was nice to see the inside!"

"It's okay, they're family oriented. I love the football team, the coaches are awesome, especially Coach Joe, Coach Trey and Coach David. They're well respected men and a great example to them boys."

"Love the recreation center. There’s a lovely pool for all ages, library football/soccer field, a big playground, and basketball court. But what behaves me is that there trash everywhere on the field, playground, and basketball court. There’s no way shape or form that’s this place should look like this on a Saturday morning. For other kids or adults to play on. This recreation center should be clean before and after every game or function. Or at least have DPR clean every morning before an event."

"Great park for kids who can walk without assistance. Some danger of falling because the railings are spaced far apart. Musical installations and slides are a nice touch."
