Motel 6 Binghamton, NY

"After 5 minutes of being there, the "owner" and reception was at my door, accusing my 16 and 17 year old of smoking in the room and covering the smoke alarm and told them they we aren't welcome there. I had already known that it would be a horrible experience because the reception is related to someone I had personal problems with so I guess I just waited for the set up. This place is utterly ridiculous and the fact that they went to my minor children is extremely unprofessional. I've already told all my family and friends not to rent a room here. Very unprofessional!"

"Hello - my complaint concerns a room I was renting with my family. I had an issue with the quality of the Room. I had notified the front desk multiple times to move me to another available room, but I was told that it was not available now. The room had a broken door with a hole in it and dirty bed sheets. On top of that, my daughter saw a roach freely running on her bed."

"It's a well run two star. A little disappointed that there was no shampoo but cleanliness is what's most important at this price point and it was very clean. Forget about the coffee and there is no continental breakfast. Not a big deal."

"When I booked the room I just assumed they would be at least a refrigerator. When I got to the Binghamton location my room didn’t have a refrigerator. So I said OK no big deal. I have a cooler. I’ll just grab some ice. No big deal. Long story short there, apparently with this booking you need to look for the rooms that have those amenities so it was my bad for not booking a room that had a refrigerator but again every hotel I’ve ever stayed in has had a refrigerator, but I digress. I checked in Dropped all my stuff off ran to the store to grab ice and some thing for dinner. I came back and there’s a refrigerator in my room. After telling my husband that the room didn’t have a fridge, he took it upon himself to call the hotel and speak to the manager or owner I’m not entirely sure who he was but They put a refrigerator in my room. And when he knocked on my door to let me know, this is what had transpired. I thanked him and told him I was very appreciative of what he did. Having said that, this is kind of a bare-bones motel, which is perfect for me . Bed TV shower, it’s pretty much all I needed except for that little fridge. My room was immaculate. I love that there’s no carpet in these rooms. I love that it’s laminate flooring, is so much easier to keep clean. But my bathroom was spotless. My bed was beautifully made, and the room was absolutely immaculate, which is one of my biggest complaints and other hotels I’ve stayed in. Again, it’s a bare-bones hotel, but it is well located. And I’ve only been here a day so far but the staff has been amazing."

"Filthy. Do not stay here unless it is all you can afford. Seriously, it looked like maybe homeless people all around the parking lot. Lots of signage about security and locking things, and the front desk is behind glass and the door from the "lobby" into the hallway for rooms was metal, like in a bank. The hallway smelled like a fraternity and people had their trashcans in the hallway. First room smelled like smoke when we walked in, my kids pulled a pack of cigarettes out from under the bed, and there was urine on the back of the toilet. Walls were filthy. I asked for a new room. Next room also smells like smoke, particularly bathrooms. Walls less filthy but still gross. They are stucco style so there's no cleaning them. Seriously, there were boogers and other mysterious stains. Everything was grimy like it had never been washed. It was late at night and no urine or drugs, and the kids were exhausted and crying so after checking no bedbugs (yay!) we stayed rather than trying to find a new place. Ugh. Would never recommend."
