The Dock on Wallenpaupack 201 Pennsylvania 507, Hawley, PA 18428

"We were able to arrive by boat and dock at The Dock. Inside, the restaurant decor was lovely and we were seated straight away. I understand that it can be packed during the summer season, particularly on the weekends. The menu had a great selection. We were there for an early dinner. Three of us chose, what turned out to be, a generous sized bowl of New England Clam Chowder and the Caeser Salad with crispy chicken. The salad was huge and we all ended up taking some home. My sister chose the same soup and the shrimp main course, which also turned out to be huge and a lot put in a takeaway box. The view directly behind our table was spectacular, overlooking the lake. All in all a very pleasurable experience."

"We have had the same experience the last three times we have been here. The food is very good but some of the portions are small and overpriced. Calamari appetizer is way overpriced yet the shrimp tacos are amazing in taste and huge in size. Crab cakes are good but on the small side. Service is not the greatest. You ask questions and never get answers. They tell you there's a wait when there are clearly visible clean empty tables. Then after waiting 30 mins in the sun, when you are finally seated, you're sitting in the exact table you just looked at in the shade that was clean and empty the entire time. Even if they are short staffed seating people at their table in the shade and getting them drinks, is so much better than having them sit looking at an empty. In the 30 minutes we waited for a table we could have had two rounds of drinks and possibly an appetizer. If they are truly short staffed, why is the manager always just sitting in his office with the door open by the bathrooms doing nothing? Pitch in and give your staff a hand or clean up the restrooms."

"The food was VERY good. We ordered the pretzel appetizer to start and the beer cheese that was served with it was the best I've had to date. I had the Tijuana cheese steak as my main entree and the flavor was phenomenal. It had a very authentic taste to it. To drink, I had their lavender lemonade (alcoholic) and that was also good. Our server, Michael, was great."

"Rustic yet modern restaurant with a view of Lake Wallenpaupak and some gardens out back. Our food was delicious, margaritas were tasty and our server, Skylar, was wonderful! Good portions at a decent price. Highly recommend."

"Delicious food. My husband & I enjoyed our meal here last night. We booked an outside table but it was too hot, only had seating room at the bar bc all tables were booked. The two women at the bar were fabulous. We had ordered calamari to start which was so flavorful. Then we had the Lobster linguine & Marinaded flank steak. I highly recommend this restaurant. Ladies thanks so much for looking after us. We will return when we visit the Poconos again. Happy 4th everyone. Enjoy."
