"Got a Y membership so when I’m out of town working I can stop between jobs and get some exercise in. Usually goes just fine. But this Y was the only one to require my DL when I didn’t have it this time. Ruined my entire exercise regimen for the day and the lady at the desk was incredibly rude and condescending about it. Will never recommend this Y. Literally the only one I’ve ever had issues with. Do better"

"I’m at the YMCA four days a week with one of my clients. He loves to exercise and is a big fan of the pool classes! The staff are, for the most part, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The ymca is highly involved in the community’s youth and provide a safe and positive place for kids. Mack park pool is equally supportive of kids. The Y and Mack park are beginning phase 1 of a massive upgrading plan and I’m excited to see the final results. Thank you YMCA staff for all you do!"

"ICYMCA boasts a variety of classes and options within the gym. There are plenty of activities that are community based and engaging for the youth of the area. The pool located at Mack park is open to ymca members free of charge and a small fee for the general public. The Mack park pool area is in need of modernization as the facility is sorely outdated. The same can be said if the main YMCA facility. The staff do extremely well with working within the aging buildings limitations and hopefully the newly awarded grant for updates gets put to good use. The staff is friendly and helpful no matter what part of the Y you utilize."

"First off, when you see this YMCA the first words that come to mind for me is Money Hungry!!! Make sure that before you sign up for a membership here that you ask about all the hidden fees that they do not tell you about or explain on their website!! Make sure that if you want to cancel your membership that you are prepared to pay extra because unless you give them 30 days’ notice before the day you want to cancel, you will be paying for another month after you go into cancel your membership!!! Yet it doesn't say that anywhere on their website and no one explains that to you when you sign up for the membership!! So, even if you are moving out of town and won't be anywhere near the YMCA to use that extra month you have to pay for, you are stuck giving them free money!!!! Second, the place, in my opinion, needs to be update or better maintained because most of the time I went into the gym there were multiple machines down and they stayed that way for weeks, if not months sometimes. It seems like their weights have not been updated in years and unless you find a down time when no one is around then you usually get the choice of select equipment since there are so many people that use the gym and even the pool!! Third, overall with the way that myself and my wife were treated here and the amount of money that we have had to pay extra, I would not recommend this YMCA to anyone!!! There are a few other YMCA's that I have used that don't have all these fees, cost less, give discounts to first responders, and even treat the people that keep them in business better than this place!!!"

"Pretty nice YMCA, well maintained, very clean I like the free weight area and the squat racks. Also love that they have a boxing bag. I hope it stays there and people take care of it. The only thing I'd prefer is some extended hours on the weekend, the Erie YMCA's are open till at least 8 pm on the weekends."
