"In a cozy basement, where dreams take flight, A cinema stands, away from the night. Independent films, a delightful sight, Where straights and gays find equal delight. Serving alcohol, the spirits are high, Under the screen where indie stars lie. Always fabulous, time seems to fly, In this cinematic piece of the sky. And oh, what joy, an escalator ride, Conveniently placed, with charm worldwide. Descending into this cultural tide, Where stories and laughter coincide. A place for all, where hearts can roam, In this basement cinema, feels like home. A mix of tales under a cinematic dome, In this film haven, imagination is prone!"
"Great, clean, quaint theater to watch indie films in. Saw Poor Things yesterday and it was great. Seats were comfy. The vibes were chill. Theater staff was very nice. I thought I lost my headphone case but Cody, one of the workers there, was nice enough to help me check the entire theater and lost and found. Thanks Cody and E St cinema for being awesome !!"
"Favorite theater in DC. Always quiet, not too crowded, and a great selection of both blockbuster and smaller-release movies. I must have seen a dozen movies here so far and will continue to come back as long as I live here. Definitely sign up for the free loyalty program online, reduced ticket fees and discounted movie Tuesdays!"
"Went here for the screening event of Pain Hustlers, it’s a very nice and cozy theater, clean setup with drinks service . Parking is pretty convenient , there are many parking garages within reasonable walking distance."
"Nice quiet cinema. It's very nice if your not big on large crowds. They have an eclectic selection of films and even some throwback movies. I went here for the premiere of Glass Onion. Less one star for the concessions. You go out for a nice sit down meal for the prices they charge for popcorn and an almost $10 pretzel. They do have a wine selection but I think that would be extremely overpriced too."
