"They are SO nice, honest to boot.Awesome price, would recommend definitely!"
"Excellent mechanics; honest & fair. The very first time we went to D+J was to get a second quote on our Explorer Transmission; it was slipping” quite badly, impossible to drive above 30mph. I was quoted $3000 for transmission with 80k (explorer had 100k) and $4800 new. D+J called 4 hours after we dropped off and said truck was fixed. Apparently, a “switch” or more other “plug” had become dislodged and the guys simply plugged it in. They didn’t want to take any money, but earned our business for life. Our transmission now has 130K on it and running as smooth as the day Danny proved there are good guys left in the world.!"
"We've been going to Dan and Jose since they started in their current location -- many, many years. Above all, they are men of integrity. They are highly competent and professional. Friendly, kind, and honest. They never make me feel stupid or disrespected."
"Have been going to Danny and Jose for a few years. A good review is overdue, these guys do amazing work and are the most honest mechanics you’ll come across. Been to a few mechanics in South Jersey that I’d absolutely never recommend, I recommend D&J to everyone."
"Honestly they got my car running again. They were cheap and did what I asked and were kind and respectful. I think I got what I paid for. But they weren't honest or professional in their finished product & work. They got me to bring my car to their place saying they would look at it the next day and fix it if it was easy, but I may have to wait until the following week until they fix it if its a hard issue. Well it was a quick fix a fuel module with two screws. So I'm assuming they didn't look at it the next day as they expressed but wanted my money. But I'm mad and giving them one star, not because they didn't get my car running they did, and I'm thankful for that!, but because of what they did next and didn't do. They took off a valve on my PVC crank case breather that negatively impacted the power of my car. That part cost me $3 to do myself. The tube from the valve was leaking air as cracked which caused a pressure issue for the corroborator, that part cost me $1 dollar. But what irritates me, is they call me and tell me its running rough and it needs a tune up. I know it needs a tune up I don't have the money for it now. When really later I check and the spark plug wires from plug 3 & 4 were mixed up and not firing. As an amateur who asked a couple other amateurs and who has a fellow family member out of state who is savy with cars, one phone call figured this out. I can't recommend this kind of unprofessional work. If it was running rough, wouldn't you have helped me and assessed it and found that the wires to my spark plugs were off. It obviously sounded poor and was misfiring on spark plugs terribly with exhaust etc. You could have asked me how it ran before, it was running great before and I know the sounds of my car. The sucking sound was so loud and obvious from the PVC valve, i put my finger over it and the car started running smoother right away as it use to. If I can figure that out and a professional mechanic can't that I gave money to, I can't recommend it. Great place for a beater up car that needs a quick fix, and if they don't think you have money. Great people, I'm not saying they don't help their local people out. I just think that they thought I was new to the area and naive or had money, which I don't, so they didn't treat me or my car fairly with what they neglected to check. Maybe you have overloaded time restraints or got mad at me and treated my car poorly because I called a few times to check up if they had checked my car as they said they would. I'm sorry to them, I told them I was going to write a good review over the phone and while paying them, because I was happy with the price and that my car could start. But the instant I started it it was rough, as they new and told me, and I stopped a few blocks away on the way home to check it and called him when I got back home because it wasn't changing gears very well at all and felt like it was at half power. Doing a quick adjustment of pushing in the spark plug wire, I asked them to replace the spark plug, the wire wasn't on all the way and it had more power but was still misfiring until I found out the 3 & 4 spark plug wires were not on right. Just saddened I had to spend a whole week waiting for my car and pay money to do a job that I could have had a friend do, and then I had to finish the job on my own as an amateur. Glad I could help a local business and meet the guys, sad that I won't be going back or recommending that place."
