"Wasn't able to stop there on the way up couldn't get communication going when I got there they had closed down already.. was so tired I wound up having to park in an outer lot and wait till the morning to catch somebody at the office. Decided to go ahead and head out earlier than planned and did not get to meet anyone but will definitely check this place out on the way back"
"This place was nice it was a tight fit though for campers plus we made reservations to be next to my mom's camper and ended up having camp sites far away from each other and though they have so much to do they don't keep up with it they hade pumpkin and costume contest we had to keep asking who won at like 8 at night when it was over"
"Site = D, Water = B, Digital Cable = A+, Electric service = A, sewer connection = D, picnic table = F (rotted out, couldn’t use)….Overall this campground is a C+ and is site dependent. Many drinking parties when we stayed (week before Halloween). 1000 Trails is not the best - money is sent to owners/investors instead of being put back into the grounds. Local management team doing ok, but is hostage to corporate."
"Arrived Friday for a weekend stay. Reserved sites over a month ago. At check-in moved our sites. Put us right next to a group of at least 30 tent campers. As the afternoon and evening wore on more of the group arrived. Noticed we were missing a picnic bench. Then later on our fire ring was missing. It was there when we arrived. Campers may know English, but among themselves spoke their native tongue. Extremely loud well past quiet time and picked right up again two hours before quiet time ended. Mentioned to management on way out to site see. Upon returning same if not worse. Spoke to security who told me they were given 4 warnings on Friday and again Saturday. Spoke to park manager. He was aware, but apparently this group comes every year. He was sympathetic and sent security up again to warn. People ignored warnings and continued on throughout the night. It's all about the money with these campgrounds that are owned by large corporations like Thousand Trails. The office workers were nice enough, but powerless to do anything. Drummer Boy Campground is less than 10 minutes away. While still a Thousand Trails, much nicer."
