"The following is my honest experience with Riggins from last week. Take it for what it's worth. Took my car in for a full brake job. Brakes were changed, fluid serviced and diagnostics test run. Job was completed same day, picked up car and all seemed well. 5 to 10 miles into driving the car, with my wife and thee kids in the car driving into the circle on cinnaminson Ave, my power steering failed, without warning, causing my to almost hop the curb and crash out onto the sidewalk as my steering wheel locked up completely upon acceleration. WOAH this was scary. Carefully drive the car the rest of the way home. This happened Saturday morning. Called the shop on Monday and they said to bring it in. They checked it out and said the pump went bad, said these things happen to old cars (2010, 130k miles), and quickly said the price to fix is $1,400, do you want us to fix it? I said no I will come pick up the car. Had the car checked by someone with decades of experience as a mechanic, and the first thing they checked was the power steering fluid tank. It was bone dry. Keep in mind I had zero issues with power steering before taking it in, no leaks on my driveway, nothing. It was their opinion that since there was no fluid in the tank that it likely caused the pump to fail. If I had a leak, I would know. Went back to Riggins to explain the situation, but they basically told me to screw off and there was nothing they did that could have caused the power steering to fail and that, since it's an older car, these things just happen. Take it for what it's worth. I had no hard evidence so I left with my tail between my legs, out over a thousand bucks to get it fixed (not at Riggins). This happened a little over 5 miles after they worked on my car. Quite a coincidence! Ugh. **EDIT - I never directly accused you of INTENTIONAL foul play, simply was stating my experience. I will never know why my power steering, which worked perfectly when I dropped my car off, failed almost immediately after I picked up the car. Publicly disparaging another local company, taking my words out of context, is a bad look. You have an excellent reputation, my normal mechanics lot was packed with cars, so I took it to you. It's as simple as that. Ivan is an amazing, and honest mechanic. Maybe you are too and this was just an anomaly? Also you aren't being honest. You completed the job on a Thursday. I didn't drive the car again until Saturday morning when this happened."
"This Company is based in My Hometown area... They have been in business for years... They sell home heating fuels, and offer other services. Another Gr8 Cumberland County Company! Competitive Prices and Gr8 Service!"
"Left my car with this shop as my car was having trouble accelerating and my check engine light was on. Next, I find out I've been charged $500 for them to "tune up" everything in my car. I was never called beforehand and asked if I wanted this done, forcing my to pay the money for minimal work done to my car. Not only are some of the basic problems with my car not fixed, such as my AC power level 3 not working after replaced spark plugs, but nothing was actually replaced or changed as he said he couldn't find anything wrong with the car. This solves my problem for about a week, until (you'll be really surprised by this) the same problem occurs again! Because I got charged an insane amount of money for no real work to be done to my car. Since this is a small town shop, I understand why everyone gives it good reviews, but if you want an actual mechanic I would recommend going elsewhere. Completely unprofessional to not call a customer before going to work on their car, and charge them for hours of work when you didn't change anything. Since it won't let me reply, I will edit this to respond. I took it to another mechanic and they found the problem and called me to ask if they would like for them to fix it. I thought about bringing it back, but you charged me money to tell me you could not find the problem, so I didn't want to take my chances. I am bitter which is why I resorted to my sour review, but I wanted my experience to be told. You are well respected within the community and I'm sure you are a fine mechanic, but my experience was just dissatisfactory"
"Cinnaminson Riggins is a great place to take your car for maintenance and repairs. I called in this morning because I had a warning light telling me there was something wrong with the charging system. I brought the car over there and they diagnosed a bad alternator. They got the part and had it repaired for me by 7:00 pm. John goes above and beyond to help his customers out. His pricing is very fair too. I'm glad John and his staff are part of the Cinnaminson community."
