"Worth your time if you have a small child and want them to burn off some energy on a day of museum visits! As others have noted, it is much smaller than I was expecting. It is basically one room. There is a small climbing structure, a play kitchen, a table with some vehicles, and a few others small areas. There is a family restroom with a changing table and even a small toilet for little ones inside which is a nice touch. We were very impressed with the childrens area at the Native American museum so check that out if you are looking for Smithsonians which are good for toddlers!"
"Very nice place for toddlers fun. The room is small however you little one will enjoy the play time. This is located inside of a museum with other exhibits to see and other hands on activity rooms for bigger children"
"Outside of the museum's walls on the streets of Washington, DC was the latest edtion of the National Independence Day Parade. Many of the children's favorite ballon characters were on display."
"I thought it was going to be a bigger place. It was cute in that my son played with the pretend food for a while. However once more kids came in, the amount of space and food in the pretend kitchen was limited. Kids started fighting over the food- which is to be expected, however this was basically the only thing to play with in the whole area."
"Only open a few days a week. Call ahead for dates and times. The entry is timed on Sunday ( possibly other days too). You get about 30 minutes to play. The play area is small, but there are about 7 unique features/areas. Most of the features are ideal for 2-6 year olds. There is stroller parking inside and a restroom with a changing table and kiddie- sized potty."
