"Scotty’s is great. They only recommend to us what was needed. We needed new suspension and fuel injection. They did it in one day flat way faster then the dealership. Our car no longer bounces all over the place and it doesn’t “chug” a beat going uphill due to new fuel injection. Why couldn’t dealer figure that out? That gave our car a second life. We love our car and want it to last. They are also very fair and open. No “talk the the hand.” Great down to earth folks. We have been to many mechanics from Brooklyn to Jersey to PA and these folks are great. We trust them."

"Went to Subaru World of Newton for a routine oil change. While there they decided to up their scare tactics and advise me my vehicle was unsafe to drive due to bad control arms and bushings. They wanted $3000 to do a full replacement or would cut me a break and do basic repairs for $1400. Skeptical but sufficiently scared and upset, I left and went directly to Scotty's. I met Anne & Ed who immediately made me feel like I was visiting old friends. Anne listened to my concerns and got my vehicle right in. She even drove me home! Received a call a few hours later with some suggestions for exhaust & bearing repairs, which I knew was needed and agreed with. Pertaining to what Subaru designated as my "unsafe" and potentially catastrophic control arms and bushings, I was told they are indeed safe. Subaru said there was 1/2 to 3/4 worth of play in them and they were super loose. Ed advised me their technicians said that was incorrect and there was in fact, ZERO PERCENT play in them. Ed kept emphasizing my car was in good shape and SAFE! They gave me a quote to repair the control arms and bushings however stressed they still had a lot of life left. They will need to be addressed at some point but not at this time. I appreciated they did not try to up sell me a repair that wasn't needed. Due to that, I elected to have them repair my exhaust issue and rear bearings. I left the shop around 1PM and my car was complete by 11AM the next day. I will NEVER AGAIN go to a dealer for any repairs after what Subaru World of Newton did to me. Subaru of Morristown isn't much better as their technician sent me home with a detached and broken air box over the summer. Scotty's Automotive gained a lifelong customer this week not only with me but with my family and friends. Building trust with your customers along with kindness and empathy goes a long way. "I was a walk in , no appointment 2 days before Thanksgiving and was late afternoon early evening had 4 tires mounted and balanced. Great staff and happy with the service. My second time going to Scotty's auto. Made a appointment the night before to have the front end of my truck looked at, was constantly steering to keep it straight. Dropped off in the morning and by 11:00 am was told the problem along with a estimate. Gave the okay and truck was finished by 2:30 pm the same day. Great comunication and work performed promptly and professionally. Has a great team."
