"Sutton & Janelle is one of the few law firms that I have sought to retain for counsel regarding alleged traffic violations. Having represented myself in years past, and having been represented attorneys throughout the DMV area, I have learned expectations of the provided service based on the fees and severity of the alleged violation. Working with Michael Logsdon wasn't the most or least expensive, however a subsequent case representation yielded an increased fee while remaining middle-of-the-pack. The process was simple. I detailed the circumstances regarding an alleged violation over the phone, provided requested documentation, and Michael submitted the not-guilty plea while entering his appearance into a case. This was typical of all firms. It was straightforward. The first case was smooth. A short time prior to the hearing I sent a thorough email reiterating in writing what happened and then received a phone call for further clarification. I asked about requesting a record of calibration for the speed-measuring device used to gauge my travel speed during the incident, however unlike other firms, Sutton & Janelle did not obtain this. Nonetheless, the case was resolved somewhat favorably. The second case was rocky. After again hiring Mr. Logsdon it was radio silence for some months, at which point I became concerned about the status of the case. I emailed a few times to which little or no response was received. I later learned that this was due to a family emergency, which led to my understanding. I believed the case was under control at this time, but this is when there were shortcomings. I received a notice of drivers license suspension in the mail effective almost immediately due to a non-appearance in my case. I immediately contacted the firm over the phone where they confirmed they had not received any notice of a hearing date. I was not able to speak to an attorney at this time as Mr. Logsdon was out of the office. I was told that I would receive a call back the following day with an update, which I didn't, so I called the day after, admittedly a bit frustrated, then another time thereafter where progress still hadn't been made, and I still hadn't spoken to an attorney. I took matters into my own hands and visited the clerk at the courthouse where she notified the Department of Motor Vehicles that the suspension notice was mistakenly issued, citing a clerical error where the court did NOT notify the firm of the hearing date. Alas, the case was on track again. I notified the firm of the progression, and was assured they would notify me of the new hearing date as soon as it was made available to them which would have been great, but I was never called. I received my hearing date in the mail this time, and the day before the case would be heard I called to verify everyone's awareness. I was told that Mark Sutton would be taking over in lieu of Michael Logsdon. The morning of the hearing I independently found Mr. Sutton's email address, and sent an email detailing what I could to assist with the defense since I had received no communication from him. I received an acknowledgement, and the case went just about as well as it could have. This time I was contacted and received the details of the outcome. My critique about this firm is that the lack of client and attorney communication leaves much to be desired, and in my case was almost crucial to my livelihood. When I shell out hundreds of dollars to an attorney seeking representation, transparency needs to be at the forefront. While the service provided in the courthouse where it mattered was advantageous and satisfactory, I am uncertain whether or not this firm would be my choice in a future case. If my first case was 5 stars and my second case was 3 stars, this review is 4 stars. Sutton & Janelle is an effective option with a caveat that a client cannot expect this firm to be proactive in their communications -- all things considered."
"I was very satisfied with the representation I received from Frank Aliveto. I never felt rushed, but I also never felt like my time was being wasted. He made everything easy to understand and was straightforward. I never felt like I was surprised in the court room, as he explained exactly how everything would work and took most of the stress out of the equation for me. I would recommend him to anyone going through a divorce."
"Frank Aliveto , By far one of the best experiences I've had with a lawyer. Honest and straight to the point. Frank was able to settle my case relatively quick. What most stands out to me is Franks commitment to his clients, always there responding to my questions in a timely manner."
"I had the pleasure of working with Frank Aliveto throughout my divorce. From the beginning I was very confident that I had found counsel who I felt comfortable representing me. He was very thorough and always made sure that I fully understood every step of the way. I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking to have someone fighting for them in their corner through a divorce."
"Mark Sutton is an amazing attorney. From the very beginning to the very end of my case he was always on top of everything. Very informative, very helpful, very understanding and very respectful. Mr. Sutton got me the best outcome in my situation and I cannot be more thankful for what he did for me. I would recommend Mr. Sutton to anyone!"
